Thanks Jackie. I got my passport today, 23 days after applying at post office. i paid expedited fee and expedited shipping, standard book only, no card. I applied on same day i took my oath on. I took oath a month after the tests, which were a month after i applied for naturalization. All in Wisconsin. Everything was super easy and fast, everybody everywhere super nice, friendly and professional. I'm impressed and proud all these folks that helped me are now my compatriots. Thanks for your vids, absolutely excellent.

Let me tell you that you're the best. Your video helped my wife to pass the test and interview. Her N-400 was approved on jully 23 and September 30 she received the oath letter, it took more time due to name change. She will attend the oath ceremony on October 16. And as we my 1-130 is pending i think they will speed it up after her naturalization. Your videos has guided me to apply for my wife her I-130. But i, iam still in Africa. Be blessed

@@johnsantini3382 Yes I applied online on September 7th 2022 , went for my interview on January 31st and oath ceremony on February 23rd 2023. I applied for my US passport the same day and I got my passport in the mail on March 23rd. Videos from this page helped me study. Good luck to everyone 😊😇

Definitely both. So when you travel you can use your Passport card as ID so you don’t need to carry the passport. If you got robbed you still have the passport

I have been scrolling throughout websites to see what documents would be needed to apply for a first time passport holder and not a single one mentioned to also bring copies of your ID and birth certificate... Timelines are now 8-11 weeks for Routine service; 5-7 weeks for Expedited if you have applied on or after 10/2/2023. This is only the timeline for when the US Department of State receives your application as it can take up to two weeks for them to receive your application and up to two weeks to receive your passport (once it is printed).

@@aniyahmuah1112 i was confused too, but trusted Jackie's video and info from the passport website where you fill out the form. It's easy. In my experience American paperwork is always easy. Don't worry, just go for it. $60 for the expedited fee wasn't too terrible price to ease my mind. But i got mine way sooner then i expected, couldn't be happier. Good luck and happy travels!

Hi Jackie, followed your tips and I just submitted my pre-filled DS-11 form with my payments to the Post Office. I was actually well prepared than most, as others were filling their applications by hand. One thing that caught my eye, was that my naturalization certificate was stapled to my DS-11 form by the Post Office. Puncturing holes in the certificate didn't seem right, please let me know they're suppose to do this.

You can also get a cashier check at the post office for the Department of State payment. You pay with a debit or credit. I just found that out today :)

You can contact the state department and you should be able to get an appointment at an agency if you have proof of travel.

Hello, I recently became a U.S. citizen and have a question about my naturalization process and future passport renewals. After my USCIS interview on May 24 2023, I took my oath on May 26 2023 during the oath ceremony and turned in my current green card, but I forgot to hand in my expired green card, which I later destroyed as advised. When I applied for my U.S. passport, I used my naturalization certificate and learner’s permit, but my permit still listed me as a lawful permanent resident. Will this cause any issues when I renew my passport in the future? Also, what should I do if I get a letter from the Bureau of Consular Affairs asking for my expired green card? Is this something I should be worried about? Thanks in advance!

Hi Jackie! Loved your video!!!! Very helpful. Questions, do I need to make copies of my I.D/License and social security card? Is there a reason they want a copy of these things if they won't collect them from you? I plan to travel to Oaxaca, Mexico this July 2024! I'm nervous and excited 😅

That is right but they do send the birth certificate back. You only need to know your SSN unless your ID is out of state and/or expired where you need a SSN card as a second proof of secondary ID. They do not keep your license at all.

It seems like passports are now being processed at 6-8 weeks for routine; 2-3 weeks for expedited. This does not include the time it takes for the application to be sent from the acceptance facility to the Department of state.

@@USCitizenshipTestOrgnow routine applications on or after October 2 will be processed in 4-6 weeks. Expedited is still 2-3 weeks so I guess we are getting back to pre COVID timelines
