Cullen Crisp never give up!! I've been trying on and off since I was 18 with no luck and I'm 24 now. Recently i was inspired again and applied to multiple locations with the forest service. Out of the locations I applied for, only 1 had actually went through and was offered a position on a engine crew in Oregon. I leave next week since my 1st day is in 12 days. My advice is to never give up when applying.

I applied to a forest in Montana when i was 18, i didn't get offered anything at the time. I tried again when i was 19 and got offered a position in Wyoming. I love it, i started out by volunteering with them at events and different occasions they had. Let them get to know you and have a face to put to an application. They told me when i got hired it wasn't because i was qualified but because they knew me, they knew how i worked and i was local

If a person is willing to move from job to job(state to state), how long would it take to become a Permanent Full time firefighter?
@BrandonSmith19069 жыл бұрын
It depends on where, but normally 2 to 3 seasons.

Ezra Epps LOL thank you! Were you infantry? Honestly I don't know if I want to get out now that I'm in. My father was an infantryman for 26 years and I know why now. LOL Sorry I took awhile to reply. I literally graduated airborne school yesterday.
@ezraepirus23088 жыл бұрын
Brad Shirley No. I was not infantry, but I was in support of infantry pathfinders. I have been to Airborne School and Air Assault School. I was in Intelligence Operations in my Army time of 7 years. I changed services for the Air Force. Good job on Airborne School. I hope that you don't get hurt. Well, if you do plan on getting out, please remember what I said. Start saving your money for the time when you do get out. You cant stay in the military forever, and as an infantryman - you will need some college out of the way before you "hit the ground" in the civilian world my friend. Stay safe. Airborne!!

The women that "move up through the ranks" then further bring down the profession. They can't hang on the line or don't want to for long, then they want to call shots. We should be raising the standard not lowering it.This is a promo vid.Hey look everybody we're so diverse! USFS hires everybody. Lets all fight fire and hold hands!
