Great question. Short answer is YES! Professional decals will save you a lot of trouble and lower the chances of getting a DOT inspection. It will also help get customers if you add your website and phone number.

Hello, there is no max but there is a minimum of 2 inch lettering. It’s always recommend to display your logo really big for brand awareness if you want to build a business.

I think having Dot and company logos on sides of your vehicle are a magnet for criminals cuz they see oh that's a work truck they're going to have work stuff.

There's a KZbinr that's an expediter with a van less than 10K lbs GVW, who has a MC and DOT who DOESN'T display any signs. He does interstate transportation of goods he doesn't own and claims its not mandatory to display his numbers since he's under 10K. Is he correct?

No, but from my experience I've been leased to a carrier for a very long time. My van is less than 10K, and my signs must be displayed at all times. I think he keeps his signs off to avoid being on the radar of the DOT and the state police who could enforce DOT regulations.
