For all those who have been struggling with the error message after trying many many many times as I have, I'll save you the trouble: appwidget{space}grantbind{space}--package{space}com.wolf.firelauncher{space}hyphenhyphenuser{space}0 The last character is the number zero not letter o. This is what worked for me. As many have said, it would be helpful if you slowed down and really emphasize and say what the characters you're typing are IF you want to avoid people who follow your videos from asking the same questions. Otherwise, good job, and thanks. I hope this helps someone out there.

Looks like ATV Launcher. It's also recommended on firesticks

Important thing worth mentioning is that the widgets will only work if the app is installed on the internal storage (not adoptable)

@fizdog go to settings > apps choose the desired app and in the storage location, choose to move to internal storage

This looks awesome! I love my Shield but although the stock interface is "functional" it's very bland. Nvidia should look at this custom launcher and build it into the Shield. You could slow down your instructions a tiny bit as half way through I started getting dizzy. You talk faster than an auctioneer. hahaha

You can slow down any video on KZbin. Just look for the "Playback Speed" option in the same menu where you can change the resolution/quality of the video.

When trying to download the first app, it gets problem parsing the package. I was successful on my other two Shields, but not this one. If this helps, I'm trying to apply these after the Shield Experience 9.0.0 has been installed. Before the other two were not on 9.0.0. It's having issues installing LM.. Is there another app that can switch the default launcher?

But I’m still left with only the gallery option and shield widget option. Those 2 only. Any idea why no other widget is showing/populating?

Hi, like Porr1 below, I keep getting an error message in ADB Shell "unsupported argument: .wolf". I have tried the command "appwidget grantbind --package com.wolf.firelauncher --user 0", "appwidget grantbind --package com wolf.firelauncher --user 0" (without the period between com and wolf) with the same error message. I have granted network debugging, USB debugging, revoked USB debugging, all with the same results - I still get the same "unsupported argument: . wolf". You are not alone in your misery. I get the same result. Have tried for 3 days. uninstall apps, re-install apps, change storage location, re-type ADB Shell command over and over. Still the same result. I have scoured the internet for days. Have NEVER found a reply to this specific problem. This problem is simply ignored by everyone.

How to select as home launcher when booting up? I'm using ATV free app and no option to select as default launcher.... Nevermind I found it.. The Wolf app is a knockoff of ATV Launcher. You should remove Wolf Launcher and use ATV Launcher and update your video.

Hello, I'm not sure you are still monitoring this KZbin channel for an answer. That said I have found the issue. If you look VERY closely the Nvidia keyboard inserts what appears to be a small space when it enters a period. This has the effect of altering the string for the package name. On the Nvidia keyboard there is back arrow. Use the back arrow to position the cursor and the delete key to remove the space. e.g., con. wolf. firelauncher (with spaces) will become con.wolf.firelauncher (No spaces between the nodes of the package name. First. You should tell us all the things we will need to do this... like our IP address. 2nd you should SLOW WAY DOOOOOWN. 3rd you should SAY all the things you are typing. I cant tell if an o is a zero etc. I got all the way to the end when you have to type in all that crap and then it didnt work. Probably because i didnt put in a space somewhere. If you would say what you are typing then we would know exactly whats going on
