if i get a laser printer that only have black and white ink am i still able to do this?
@JoyceDee3 жыл бұрын
I have been doing this for 20 years, using a laser printer only. Just print your design, lay the foil over the design and secure it, then run it through the printer again as a BLANK page. (I usually hit the space bar a couple of times so it will appear there is something to print on the page.). The heat from the printer that “sets” the toner to the paper will also set the foil to the toner. Easy peasy.

The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system kzbin.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

Hi thanks for the tutorial. Would this method work on a piece of photo paper that has a design already printed on it? I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere. Let’s say I did a custom flyer or chip bag printed with an inkjet printer. Could I go back and add the wording that I want to appear foiled on top of the colored design and run the already printed sheets thru the laser printer? Just curious would the inkjet ink on the paper ruin the laser printer. I hope this makes sense.

I love your video's and I learn so much from you. I have been trying to foil for a month its always something! I received my heat press it has a blue mat and a white one. Do I leave them both in there when laminating? Also, if you don't mind me being a bug, I went to a copy shop and got laser jet copies and the toner is coming off on my foil but not sticking. The 1 or 2 times I got it to stick the foil got rolls in it and only stick to part of it. I just want to cry. My press is at 310 and I've done 15 and 20 seconds. Do you think it's the copy shop? I'm using deco foil by I-craft. I have tried it on card stock 65 lbs. and 110 lbs. light pink and white. When I used and ink pad and stamps, with a laminator I got really close, but I would always miss some of the foil in areas. I just thought you may have a few tricks for me. I have tried covering it with plain white copy paper, heavy card stock and by itself just the foil and paper. any help is greatly appreciated. I just hope you have time to help me! if you like you can email me at lijordan1962@gmail.com or just leave me a text here. I'm sorry to bother you.
