Finally found it!! This is exactly what I was looking for. This is my kind of programming. I'll be going through your other tutorials. Thanks

This works fine, did you ever tried to get alle inputs and outputs from the ardiono in node red?
@AnotherMaker9 ай бұрын
Yeah. It's basically the same process. You just have to make sure you're telling node red which input is sending what.

Thank you so much for this! Liked and subbed! How do I do go about adding multiple arduinos? Is it possible to affect one arduino based on the data of another arduino? For example: Arduino1 controls a pump, Arduiono2 controls a scale. Arduino1 pumps water until a certain amount/weight. Arduino2 is watching the weight and once the correct weight is reach, it will now tell Arduino1 to shut off. Is this possible with a raspberry pi as the master? Thank you! I don't expect a full detailed answer, but if you could guide me in the right direction and I could take it from there!
@AnotherMaker4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. Each Arduino is just a serial port on your Pi and if you add usb hubs, you can add something like 127 arduinos per USB port. This video shows how to communicate from the pi to the arduino ...which is the same technique you use to go from one arduino, through the pi, to the other arduino. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6KykJR-brqmaJo

I have followed this tuition and my Arduino is sending the messages as i can connect the Arduino to a pc and use the serial monitor with the correct baud rate and see the three messages. However when connect to the pi and set up the com port the serial node shows as connected but when i monitor the debug i get nothing. If i disconnect the arduino the debug shows a message port not found. Any advise?

Hmm.Are you on windows?

will the raspberry pi port provide sufficient power to the arduino if I start attaching sensors into it?
@AnotherMaker2 жыл бұрын
Yes for sensors. If you ran a bunch of relays or solenoids, maybe not, but normally it's not a problem.

hai, nice tutorial. I have done the same, but I have a problem, when serial in created, and then I press deploy, it shows "not connected" and the debug message show "serial port /dev/ttyUSB0 error: Error: Error Resource temporarily unavailable Cannot lock port" does node-red really sensitive about apps that running in the background? if it doesn't do you have any other suggestions about my problem? thanks before

oh wait, I already solve the problem

It may not actually say USB. Have you tried the others as anyway?

How can i operate the nodered remotely using vnc?
@AnotherMaker Жыл бұрын
Most Pi OS' have vnc built in. You just need to enable it in the settings, then I use tightvnc to view it from windows.
