Note for future viewers: The reason why the OLED display is upside down in the video is because he flashed the wrong firmware. He has the U100LQD version and has flashed the generic one. To fix this, all that is needed is to flash the correct one.

After hours of working on this, I successfully replaced the rollers and the Cricut works like it always did. Now just need to calibrate. It took a very long time. More time putting it back together (left circlip was challenging along with the hard rollers I bought, not to mention the hidden screws at the top of the machine) but with tenacity and patience, I did it. Oh, and I prayed first too. 😊 If you bought the hard rollers, you will have to boil those directly in the microwave for 5 to 10 minutes. Also, I saw in one of the posts that the left circlip was not needed, but my personality would not allow me to move on without that. I ended up taking the circlip and spring back off the right side and did the left side first. That helped as I could push the roller bar to the left more to push it out more on the left, along with walking away for a bit. Although challenging and not for the faint of heart, it can be done. I am not ready to fork out money right now for a new machine. But when I am it will most likely be Siser Romeo or Juliet. Good luck!

This video is the best I've seen here on YT but it would be a great idea to add a little comment about the left circlip not being needed as I had to search comments for your response to someone else. That was time consuming as you have many comments thanking you. I, in turn, thank you.

Arduino probably decided to be open source because they realized that they couldn't stop other companies from tweaking some miniscule part of the layout of the design and not violating copyright laws. likely more about staying relevant than about choosing to be open source for the betterment of mankind. just saying

Great guidance! Great video! Saved the day!! My Maker had an issue with one of the roller positions. Performed all steps and discovered that the rubber roller and it corresponding metal roller had become gummed up with adhesive and push the right rubber roller off registration. Cleaned knurled metal roller well with an x-acto knife. I found that by using a little dish soap and water I could lubricate the shaft at the rubber roller and move it back into position. (Sort of like putting on handlebar grips on a bike). Reassembled and all is working great again! Thanks for giving me the confidence to fix it myself!!

Hello Let's say I already have a database running on my server. If I want to install UserSpice, the best option is to have two different databases or to merge them in a single database with UserSpice tables and my own tables togheter?
@AnotherMaker3 күн бұрын
As long as you don't have any tables that match ours, I would just merge them together. The usual conflicts would be users, permissions, pages, settings, logs. If you don't have those, you can just install userspice straight into your db.

Maybe the person who designed this part to be so difficult to replace came from the world of car design, so you have to go into the dealership for service, but didn't consider that there are no Cricut service shops. There's no way anyone would just figure this out on a whim LOL

i was just reading the pdf of that book man and then your video pops up in my feed haha. awesome video. those circuits are a rite of passage, i think my first notes on circuit theory after i learned the basic laws were all 555 ciricuits. then dissecting the actual ic into it's transistor resistor logic using small signal transistors. it really helps understand current mirrors and differential pairs in small signal amplifiers using npn transistors and also biasing the base properly for separating the dc from the signal. it's responsible for me seeing the whole picture in a way. i revisited logic gates and flipflops using transistors earlier this year because of the 555. it was super cool. i remember opamp circuits breaking my brain years ago after being so deep into cmos logic and those old 555 ics for so long. they broke my brain for years but really are simple to grasp once i got out of my own way. seeing gadget throw them in everything for so long like he was eating a cookie had me stumped man hahaha. there isnt enough intermediate opamp theory on yt i find that's explained in a way us plebs understand. you dont need to know the math if you have a purpose then you understand the math, if that makes sense as im rambling here taking a break from reading a text book on the ansi c second edition that i got on sale haha. man out of print text books are expensive, i wish i kept all my old hardcover books from university. i ordered a data structures book today that i used in school and it is over 250 dollars for the hard cover and it's only a short book. i checked amazon and ebay everyday for months until i found it at a decent price today. i remember one of my data mining algorithm classes didnt even have a text book yet back in the 90's haha. the pdp we had was so old that you couldnt even really do operations on large data sets properly unless you scheduled a batch file to execute after hours because the university used it for student services and payroll too.

I wish I would have watched your video first. I watched another video and now that I’ve put it back together it pulls the mat in fine but as soon as it’s about to cut, the thing that cuts goes all the way over to the right as if it’s stuck there and my light starts flashing purple. There’s a message on my computer that says critical error-45, 85 and nothing works
