i dont think there is a point in comparing them because pursuit is a main dps tower that is used to shred bosses where as ace is used to carry early to mid game and as a secondary dps tower in the late game

I think they should add something to Pursuit: when he lock in a enemy and another enemy runs by, Pursuit should go after that enemy instantly and, well, PURSUIT it

so one thing I will say looking at the comments, I may have prasied ace a little too much. Ace is good for early ONLY if it's path hit as many zombies as possible, and Pursuit isn't bad, I put it in A tier because I feel it can be replaced by many other DPS towers, but so can Ace. There isn't really a clear winner, they both serve their purposes. But with the possible incosistancies from flight paths only makes these towers good if they are placed in the right spot. They are both hip and cool idk what to say, use Ace if you know how to place it right, and use Pursuit if you know how to place it right. But tbh there are better alternitives.

Pursuit may lose in CE (cost efficency) but in dps and others. Overall,pursuit is better.You might say ace is good at early defense. Now you said Pursuit can replaced by other DPS towers, but think again.Ace can be replaced by other early defense towers. Also, CE doesn't really that matter on mid - late towers.And as I just said, pursuit has more dps. So overall pursuit is the winner. Or is it? Well if you look at pursuits targeting,it may miss some fast enemies. But still pursuit is better (my opinion)

I think you forgot to put the circling motion of ace into account as it doesn't always get to deal damage against a single enemy, unless you put it in a circle like those in pw2 AND the path must be full of enemies, it will never get to deal the damage that it dps states, and even with all these "what ifs" it still isnt dealing his dps on a single target, the reason his dps to cost ratio seems so good is just to compensate with the circling motion of not attacking all of the time. So realistically it would be A tier, it was S for a long while but it got pretty big nerfs especially with the upgrade costs some time ago and that made it fall off, still a good tower, but although people say it is underrated, i would actually say it is overrated because people never put the tower's mechanic interacting with the stated dps into account which made it seem too good for the cost. Dont get me wrong, its a very good tower and i would recommend everyone to get it if they are new, but newer players never seem to be able to place them correctly and with the amount of content creators sugarcoating its effectiveness, it is actually doing way less than what a lot of people think it would do, so i will have to say it is overrated. Also since ace flies in a clockwise motion, i would recommend people to place it to circle paths that make the enemies go in a anticlockwise motion, especially with quicker enemies and at earlier levels, the ace at earlier levels fly very slow, which means if the enemies go in the exact same speed or faster than the ace and they are not in range, the ace will never get to hit them, which can be quite frustrating especially if you use ace as your early defence. People probably wont read all of it but i just needed to point out these major flaws and some tips to use the ace more effectively.

Ace wont always be dealing damage sadly. Both are very good towers, but theyre not really comparable since they do very different things. Pursuit excels at single target, while ace is more for general dps. Both can completely fail against fast enemies, thats the only similarity.

Honestly money isn’t really a big problem for late game towers. By the time their main purpose which is late game happens people who know what they are doing would easily have all eight max farms. The best example of this is accelerator with its outrageous cost but pretty easily obtained with max farms and DJ. Pursuit takes win overall imo. Ace pilot is better for intermediate players who don’t know how to maximize their farms with amazing efficiency.

Pursuit rn is only really good for wave 40/50, due to it stun resistance, u could use it as a sub dps, but I'd rather use smth like engi, ranger or g mini instead, for more stable dps, but pursuit is a really solid choice for a boss shredder tower, as it has accel dps and range, and it also can't be stunned

@@NicuApostol-el5oe with charge it is in fact 280, 360 with commander, while pursuit has 240 dps with commander, and including no dps decreases bc of stuns(even with medic accel will be recharging much more bc of stuns) therefore unless it is boss with small stuns like molten boss or fallen king, u will get same if not higher dps than accel for pursuit

2:29 using CE to measure value works for just about every tower BUT ace and pursuit ace. if ace acted like a regular tower with 117 CE, it'd be absolutely busted. after the lunar overture nerf ace is much more niche but still very viable for hardcore, and pursuit is overall a great dps, especially in solo when you don't have a slot for medic

Ok we get it, pursuit too expensive, pursuit harder to obtain, pursuit no hidden detection, pursuit have terrible targetting and ace pilot more cheaper, easier to obtain, hidden detection along with giving hidden detection for the start of a wave, and the fact it has the fastest firerate along golden soldier even pairs better with commander since it goes down 0.04s.
