Wow, this is really useful. I’m very torn between getting this or the 505. Battery operation vs 5 tracks. Any real world sound quality difference (I know the 500 is 32 bit, but haven’t been able to demo them side by side). Thanks!

I think the rhythm keeps going- waits for no man. You need a *Aeros Loop Studio combined with a Beat Buddy and Midi* This looper is great for what it is, but still relatively basic relative to a professional unit e.g., Aeros, Electro-Harmonix 95000 6 track; RC-505 or RC-600. All of these will offer you more. I got the RC-500 because I have simple needs. I also made sure it had 32 bit audio quality which it does.

Hi Ben, what am I doing wrong? Have done as above and saved. Trouble is the double tap to stop the loop on T1 or T2 stops both tracks.....and I dont want that to happen....I want to be able to stop and start individual tracks. Did I get something wrong?

Yes, just select both tracks holding the tracks select foot switch, then hold stop.

Hold down track select until it turns purple-this selects both tracks simultaneously and you can clear, play, or stop all at once

Regarding the pedal indicator lights, I sometimes get a flashing red light. This occurs, it would seem, when I don't manage a completely perfect sync when I'm recording the second track over the first. The result is that the loop doesn't start on the next track appropriately. I sometimes use synced track setting. But the question is - what does the flashing red light mean? What are some keys to success in this regard?

Hi Ben. Thanks for all of your help with my rc300. I just upgraded to the rc500. Is there a way to copy a track from one number and paste it to another one? I got a really great take and want to mess with it on some different track numbers to see how I can make it sound. If possible this would make a great video. Thanks again!

Every time I play my track 1-2 the rhythm assigned to the third nob also starts to play. How do I stop that rhythm play from my track completely?

Hello , do you think it’s possible to record a kick on track 1 and chords on track 2 then start and stop track 2 from his beginning of the loop at every moment, And keep everything synchronised? For I speak on track 1 then when press play for track 2 that start from the beginning of the chords not in middle or anywhere ? Thank you

Dear Ben, 1st of all i want to thank you for your videos, they are really veri informative. I also would buy a course where ableton & rc505 integration is described. I have one question that drives me crazy and i dont know if i think the wrong way... IF i record some loop(s) in the RC-500 and i want to have this loop in ableton i assume i have 2 options: - Record the in-signal as a clip - save loop and copy via usb to computer, then ad wav as a clip (in session mode) Is there any other possibility to automate this, so that withtou save and import file the loop directly can be transfered as a clip in ableton ? or did i understand it correctly

I´ve got a question. Do you know if there is a way to stop the track but keep the rhythm Playing. I also use the FS-7. I like to put down a guitar chord progression track, play a lead over it, then come back and finish by playing the chord progression. BUT when I press the stop button to play it myself the rhythm stops as well. any way around this? How to keep the rhythm playing when the track stops? Thanks is advance, Vince

I've assigned different commands to each foot switches as instructed, but this seems to apply to all memory patches. Is there a way to assign this setting to a single memory patch only?

I want to mainly use a looper for triggering pre-recorded backing tracks. I'm looking at either an RC-3 or RC-5 with an FS-6 or just the RC-500 on its own. Can I set up the RC-500 footswitches to start/stop play and switch between backing tracks?

Hello, I want to buy RC-500 but I have fears. Does anyone know if you can sync Volca Drum with RC-500 via MIDI(RC-500 being master) and without DAW? I have seen some video with other drum machines where RC-500 stops or glitches. But I haven't seen any videos with Volca Drum so I would like to know if they work together before I go into that investment. Idea is to play and loop live with RC-500 and use VDrum instead of drums found on RC-500 so that I have more control and options when it comes to drums.

Yes i want to do this too. I think it’s possible to slave the rc500 from the volca. Then you just have to mix the audio from the volca and rc500

The RC-500 sucks because its Track 1 and Track 2 functionality doesn't work. It goes out of Rhythm sync. Just sent my second one back.

@@TheRWE12 Hey Ric, mine works great, have rhythm running the whole time, have different length loops on track 1 and 2. Switch between them and send the time clock from the Boss RC-500 Ableton at the same time. Never misses a beat (excuse the pun) Its all in the programming on the RC-500

@@lindsaydw Lucky you. Mine worked for a while with both units, eventually went bad. Now, I am talking about using a Verse and a chorus, different chords etc., running as a Single with Loop sync OFF. Then Rhythm will go out of sync even though it has been left ON. Why would I lie?Wait till you're on stage and a group of people you like came to see your show, then boom, you look bad. Hope it doesn't happen to you.

@@TheRWE12 You have to have loop sync ON. It works as expected. This does cause issues with different loops lengths though as I'm sure you've discovered.

This setup is no good you cant clear all. If the play all switch cleared it would be a game changer. And you get the second of playback when you clear each track which is the annoying part of a 1 switch looper.
