Claus - my Light Tank play has improved significantly (in my opinion anyway) since your series focused on "Light Tanks", map statistics on where to go, etc. What about a series on SPGs ? Best places to sit for optimum lines of fire, etc. For those who hate SPGs, it might be a lesson in where NOT to sit LOL!! Food for thought.

In terms of SPGs, there are few maps that actually have good spots for them. What you really want to do with an SPG is move after every shot, and watch the map diligently for the losing flank. You'll want to drive away from this side of the map between every reload. Follow your team and drive towards the winning flank.

The T25/2 was a favorite of mine as well. I didn't necessarily get phenomenal matchmaking like you say you do, but the gun always worked very well for me. It was a tank I would constantly have solid games in whenever I played it.

The T29 turret top is only 38mm - it is over matched by the 122 on the IS2S and basically and soviet 122 - it only has to touch the roof for a full pen. It is another way the soviet tanks are given a "bonus" in the game. If you look you will be surprised by the amount of tanks that have 40mm or less side armour. The most egregious change was the Foch TDs, they were nerf'd to allow overmatch to sides and tops.

About golf at 15:15. What you say is true but I find it’s also to do with confidence and belief. Sand wedge and lob wedge for instance. Those clubs do the same kinds of shots basically but one I just feel more confident using. I don’t know if that works like that with computer games. Lol. Maybe worth a try

As for those tanks we don't know why we perform so well? Goes back to my suspicion that tank parameters are different for everyone from the start. This would be to encourage variety, otherwise over time players would all gravitate towards the "best tank". I have such a tank, the Chinese mid tier 8 T-34-2. I don't like to play mids in general and have no particular pleasure playing that tank, but for some reason I have a 59% win rate in it, which is my best T8 performing tank.

Actually, the most frustrating is when your accurate tank (like the T150) suddenly loses its accuracy completely no matter the effort to stabilize the shots. Only way to remedy is to stop playing that tank for a few days. Got nothing to do with the player or the ping, it's all WG "RNG" black box.

Maybe the game has a pressure field calculation. If your tank is under pressure then your crew lose efficiency and accuracy.

Hey Claus - Great ending for that second match, as IRL the Hellcat and Tiger were natural enemies. As to Sigma - it's strange that WG displays Sigma gun values openly in WoWS but completely hides it for WoT. That's unfortunate as the Sigma value (higher value is better) would be a much better metric than dispersion. Every activity has its own lexicon that makes it easier and more accurate when discussing that activity since the participants are using terminology with an agreed-upon meaning.

WK 30.02 M is a tank that really should be looked at. I fully aim and can't hit anything. While I played an opponent who shot me while he was on the move from long range 3 times. I couldn't understand how that was possible. He then killed me after a long game, and his stats showed 9/9/9 shots hits pens and he never sat still the whole game he kept moving. I still can't understand how that was possible, and he was shooting silver not gold rounds, at least what he hit me with he was. I say all this but once hit a AMD while he was at full speed with a hetzer shot across the map. Looked like I was shooting a half court basketball the loop on the round from that distance. The reality is if they want you to hit, you will, otherwise you don't.

With a hetzer its great fun when the gun works, and it dies most of the time but on some days I cant even hit the ground! But its worth it when I get 400 Damage on a tier 3!

How to win in WOT. 1. Make sure your crew's RRSP's have been topped off and the crew knows this. The crew will be happier and preform better if they know big brother(you) are looking out for their future. 2. Make sure your crew is all wearing matching uniforms and make sure to clean uniforms. A clean,sharp looking crew is a happy crew. 3. Make sure your crews have been cuddled and have had a prep talk before battle. Again happy crew stuff. I know this is joking a bit... But its really just a bit. I'm old enough to remember when PC games used to concentrate on the fun stuff and not all this fluff that's been added on.

Claus, also, it seems you are maths savvy - sigma is the most misunderstood and denied aspect of this game. In fact, I do not think any other CC discusses sigma, if you recall it was denied by WeeGee that sigma was even a thing, but the distribution equations that WeeGee says that they use, CLEARLY has the sigma value incorporated in the equation and is in fact openly discussed in World of Warships which uses the same engine and equations. Would it be worth discussing the equations?

Ever since I flamed wargamming for the nerf they did to the Pz.Kpfw. T 25 tier 5 German medium premium tank my sigma on all my tanks even with 5 perk crews is horrible! Before they nerfed the T25 I could travel at 60Kph with a dispersion ring barely larger than the aim circle and hit every time I shot my gun. After they nerfed it I could only get to 50kph going downhill on solid dirt and my dispersion ring was about 15 times larger than the aiming ring every time I moved my tracks or turret. The stats on the tank are supposed to be 2.5 second aim time and mine takes over 6 seconds to aim every time I shoot the dam gun now! I still used the tank to train my medium tank crews because I could make at least 25k credits every time I played it. Then wargamming nerfed that by lowering payouts and increasing ammo cost for standard APC rounds. Now you have to be extremely lucky to make any credits in a dam T25 tank. The whole experience pissed me off so much I never bought another premium tank again. All of the other premium tanks I own were gifts from my brother and everyone of them I had the same experience in. I would get good RNG and match making for about 1 month then it would all turn to crap! It is a complete waste of money to by premium tanks because of wargamming screwing you on the sigma and matchmaking after 1 month.

Used to have SU130PM as go to tank and had 60% win rate, could do no wrong. Now have 7 skill crew and everything maxed out but never play it anymore since for the last 2 years every time I do guaranteed not to hit anything until half team dead and by then too late to affect game, or entire team explode in 2 min. So now have 51% win rate...don't play it anymore not worth it.
