This presentation was great. It served 2 purposes for me. Combining formulas and changing inches to Ft & Inches. Just awesome

Can you put the formula in the description for easier access?

Then you wouldn't watch the video 🤣

@@DSMStrength Sure we would! I want to know HOW and WHY not just WHAT! You'd probably get more likes if you included the formula. I know I'd give you one in that case.

I liked that you explained it piece by piece to see how each piece was built, and then at the end how they all fit together. This is how I would want a coworker to explain it to me. Thank you. I subscribed because I figure if I have another question like this you are the guy I want to explain it to me. 👍🏼

Fantastically helpful. Only thing that might have made it better is if you included the final formula in video description to make is copy/paste-able. But thanks, this was very useful

Really hard to see the first part of video. I would suggest making the final formula much bigger at end of video for those old folks who are trying to write it down if you won't make it paste able. Thanks for the info.

How do you round off to the nearest whole number, if the cell in question has decimals in it?
@DSMStrength2 жыл бұрын
=mround(number, decimal)

I was hoping to get that integrated in the formula shown in the video as I have decimals in the converted row.

Not sure if anyone is monitoring this, but if my original number isn't a whole inch, how do I round the inches value to 2 decimal places? I've got a result of 15'11.86233894" or whatever. Can't get anything to work since our result already has so much custom stuff with the feet and inch symbols.

Use the "ROUND" function. *_=round(number,num_digits)_* Where "number" = the number (or cell or formula(e)) you wish to round off; and "num_digits" = the number of decimal places you want. For converting inches to feet-and-inches with a specific number of decimal spaces, here is the formula you will need : *_=INT(a1/12)&"'-"&(ROUND(MOD(a1,12),2))&""""_* This will return this type of result : *_12'-3.45"_* _*NB: *_ *_- Substitute *a1_*_ with the appropriate number (or cell or formula(e)) in your spreadsheet.*_ *_- Substitute the *2_*_ with the number of decimal places you want. "0" will return no decimal places.*_ I hope this helps.
