My new motto, no paper or scraps left behind (we'll see how long it lasts) im going to finish up one project at a time that I have started . I have a tendency to start not finish & then can't remember what I was going to do with it. I just finished a pile It made 2 journals & now I'm working on the next pile. We are iced & snowed in for a good while so lots of crafting in the next few days! Thanks for all your encouragement & ideas!!

You could create a bunch of covers and sell to your subbies...just sayin’ 😉. Double sided tape is also known as “tear” tape. I like to use a 1” square stamp block to burnish as you lay it down then use the edge of the block to tear at the end.

These music pages with the mod-podged napkins are beautiful, Gayle. I was so excited to find a big, big lot of old piano music booklets at a thrift store last fall. Some had the pianist's notes written on them. I'd like to jazz them up in some way instead of just using them as a straight journal page. This is a great idea.

Good Morning Gayle! Another wonderful video. it's inspiring to see how you have to think out of the box to use up papers and such to repurpose them into something you can now use. I think we all have projects we started, put away and when we pull them out - what was I thinking? 1.If the static electricity is bad use a humidifier. Moisture in the air reduces the static electricity 2. Parchment paper is designed to be a non stick surface so no glues or tapes will work. Sew a strip of light weight paper on the envelope seams where one would place the glue. Then glue those edges together. I use typing paper.

When I use double-sided tape like what you’re using. I found for me it’s easier to put my hand inside the role. I feel like I have more control for where I want it to be. And then I just terret after it’s down. And then I rub it really good.

I love the double sided tape. When I put it down I just put my fingernail where I want it cut it and then tear it off. you don't have to use a scissor. that makes it much more cumbersome. the tape is made to be able to tear easily. I know it isn't for everyone but I like it because it really holds.

Mornin Gayle. I was thinking, sewing coffee paper to the deli paper for the inside of some of the envelopes would help glue or tape stick. Not sure you’d want to take the time. Was also thinking for those music or book pages, you could glue the white second or third napkin layer to the back. Once dry, it would become a nice writing surface but could still see the print or music behind, and also repurpose the white parts that get ripped off. (I have a huge bag of the white bits from napkins and I refuse to throw them away so watching you helped me think of this...). P.S. put a bowl or pitcher of water in your room. It might help the static. Or keep a dryer sheet near you and wipe your hands on it, it’ll cut the static. We have humidifiers around the house.

I was so grateful to have heard about the Care Hart organization (www.disabledartists.org) you had mentioned in an earlier video. I sent my repurpose items to them and received a lovely thank you. I now keep a box in my space and routinely put items in it as I complete a project. Please reference them once again so crafters can be aware of this wonderful organization as a resource for gifting their destashed items.

Hallo I already had the problem! I used hot glue and then ironed it again so that the glue is nice and smooth worked great! what also works very well is simply roughen sandpaper or nail files then any glue will work, often with, for example, mirror cardboard that is also smooth at the back, works great lovely Greetings from germany

Laura, please let me know if you are interested in making more doggie clothes. We took in a puppy that was 2 days old and she had a cleft palette. She has now had 4 surgery’s and is doing well but because she didn’t have her momma and siblings she never learned how to regulate her body temperature correctly. We live in Colorado and it can get cold here. She has been wearing hoodies I purchased on amazon this winter but I think this summer we might need lighter weight t-shirts for her because they really give her a security now too...

I didn’t read through all the comments, so forgive me if someone else has already suggested this regarding the envelopes. But you could zigzag around the whole thing, and then when you glue it, you could glue or tape directly on the stitching. So, the stitching would stick together. That would probably work, but then again that seems like an awful lot of trouble. Lol
