Wow, just calculated my SAC, yesterday I dived and the instructor could not believe, he just entered reserve when I was at half, It seems I have a SAC of 8.7l/min, I don't know but maybe I have a very natural low consumption since I could free dive up to 2:30 min with no training!

You omitted an important factor, Correct weighting! Perform a buoyancy check before diving, your weighting will vary depending on exposure protection, salt or fresh water.
@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod55962 жыл бұрын
Oh, thanks for the good point 🙏 Of course, air consumption depends on the proper selection of weights and you have to consider the conditions of your dive and the gear you are using. All these considerations we have included in the advice about buoyancy - secret number 4. Agree, it's hard to talk about good buoyancy if there are not enough weights or on the contrary, you took too much lead

@@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod5596 Thank you for asking! Well, I’m interested in any training and equipment buying tips of course. But to be specific, I can always use tips on diving in currents - either horizontal/lateral or vertical. The more I know about those techniques, the better.
@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod55962 жыл бұрын
@@laminar0886 In fact, we're thinking of a video about diving in the currents. Such dives can be very interesting: drifting, lots of big fish... We have good places for such dives in Komodo. Stay tuned - we are collecting video material for this video ;)

Can I add a tip. If, when diving with a group, you are always below everyone else, you will use more air. Try to maintain the average depth of the group. If you are a heavy user of air, try not to be the diver at the bottom of the group. Having said that, do not leave your buddy. Happy diving!
@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod55962 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this valuable tip 🙏 That's true and the deeper you dive, the more air you use. It's better to be behind your buddy to save some air 😉

I cannot believe the amount of weight the guy has on his belt @ 1:54 with a shorty. Does he use an aluminum tank?
@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod5596 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the tank is aluminium. 6kg, we think he had, not that much Thanks for your comment 🙏

Good tips for using air efficiently, BUT the last two video clips underwater show pressure cage dangling below the diver and even hitting coral in the second one. Not good guys!
@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod559611 ай бұрын
Oops (((( Stephen, thanks for the comment! Thank you for watching the video to the end and noticing the error! We are very careful not to disturb the coral in any way, and require the same attitude from the divers we dive with. Luckily, we didn't break anything, and just touched the coral with the pressure gauge, but still. We will pay even more attention to that from now on 🙏
@YouTube_user33339 ай бұрын
@@wetfrogdiversdivinginkomod5596 Cages just make it worse. Get rid of them. Then divers can tuck the gauge into the waist band. Why put extra weight on the gauge, of course it will drag 😆

Thanks for the comment, Ahmed 🙏 We didn't dive with you together, but we have dived with big divers. A good buoyancy skill will probably help you to reduce your air consumption. Also, try breathing calmly and relaxed and moving slowly and smoothly in the water. Safe and interesting dives to you, colleague🙏
