I always go with brake drift because I'm always in the cockpit and need instant response on the tight turns. I kind of throw the car into it harder than others. Most times in the same turns I end up drifting in front of them on the second half of the turn, so if I switch it back to gas my timing is delayed and I just smack into them, or miss the turn entirely lol Kind of sucks how you can drift like a sloppy asshole and get over 800k on most drift courses. Hopefully the next installment has a 'clean' bonus like.. a double multiplier at the end if you hit nothing

How does he get all them blue nitrous things on his car?
@Holzider2 жыл бұрын
i usually go to the racetrack, run laps on the inner ring without nitrous and set my downforce to full and then see if i lose traction in the back. if i don't lose traction i turn up steering sensitivity until i lose traction, staying with my setting just barely below losing traction in realistic cornering speed. if i already lose traction after setting downforce to full i put steering sensitivity down. and if i can still have traction with full steering sensitivity i lower the downforce just below where i would lose it. thats a pretty safe way to set it up. its also where you can test whether race or track tires are better for your car. the less downforce you need for your tires, the better suited your tires are for the setup.

am I the only person who realizes you can still do gas to drift when your drift style is set to "brake"? setting it to "brake" just gives you the option of braking to drift too, and can be really helpful when trying to get the back end out and it just won't drift, with brake sometimes you just need to hold the brake a little longer, which doesn't work with gas.
@mcdogbone4 жыл бұрын
I've noticed it too but somehow nobody mentioned on the videos I've seen.
@bananasplit24904 жыл бұрын
witch one would you recommend using?
@theblooper96314 жыл бұрын
@@bananasplit2490 always set it to brake since it allows you to do both. Which one you actually use comes down to the car, the corner, and your personal preference. I find myself instinctively using brake most corners, but I sometimes use gas on long wide turns when I don't want to lose speed.

LOVE YOUR VIDs, ...but this one ain't good testing imo XD You changed 2 variables on the fly and attributed results according to feel/perception (greatly influenced by placebo, as I believe we all know ;) ) Here's the results from my testings: Always GAS to Drift imo, this allows braking around corners without drifting, and a more controlled grip feel - always had better results with GAS to Drift, and spent most of the game playing in BRAKE to Drift ; the change brought clear improvements. While I can totally agree it may come down to 'preference', there are huge benefits from always running the highest steering sensitivity ( = more turning with less 'work' of the steering joystick), which provides clear advantages, in any situation ; sure we may need to adjust, but ultimately there's a clear benefit. As for downforce, it could also be summed up to 'preference', but after testing extensively over 100 cars in the game - changing 1 variable at the time ; going to detail of testing each engine with each possible gearbox combination - I found out that highest downforce will grant you a better lap time when racing. Only in a few, very high-speed focused races (Sonic, J. Storm, etc) would low downforce be competitive, as it would give you back the time lost on turns on the straightaways. This is because, the more downforce you have the more your car wants to grip, meaning that when turning your car will grip sooner and make you follow the road. On the other side, less downforce means less grip, and every inch going to side is a inch less going forward - although NFS is very far from being a simulator like Assetto Corsa or IRacing, and still far from being a simcade imo, these basic knowledge physics still seem to apply across all cars. As for Drag and Drifting, while steering sensitivity still gives you a clear advantage, here we need low downforce to allow faster motion (around the corner or in a straight line) through 'less weight' ; which is of course obvious ;) Side note: I do all my testing without NOS for the 'realest' car (chassis)/engine/gearbox performance - test for yourself and you'll find out that in some cars, having the speedcross suspension and differential will give you a better 0-60 despite Track parts being better for the 0-200 (1/4 mile) ; Attention, these numbers (0-60 and 1/4 mile) in NFS aren't as relevant as you may think, because they're just not accurate at all - and while these numbers may make you believe that the Beetle is the fastest drag car in the game, I can, without any doubts, tell you that the Chevrolet Bel Air, amongst many others, is a lot faster Drag Car than the Beetle (even at highest performing engine/gearbox) ; again, in Drag 0-60 isn't as relevant as 0-200, which the game doesn't show us, and we have to test for ourselves.. Keep up the vids on the "Wrong Engine" - LOVE THEM !!! (try perhaps different gearboxes too XD)
@MilitiaGamingCommunity4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support! I appreciate the feedback! This really wasn't a test as much as it was me setting up the car to my liking which is all about feel and preference. People. First off. Dont look at these videos for the best build out there. Build to YOUR driving style. I drive a Nissan 180 type X with the 2.9L V6. Track suspension. Track tires. Showcase diff. And its the most OP build ive got. Aside from hyper cars. I chose the 180 Sx at the start of the game and as I progressed, I upgraded the car. Im an agressive driver. If I'm not in first, I'm fighting for it. Drifting corners, balls to the wall... Basically. No 2 racers are alike. They all have found what works for them. Test and try things out. If you arent winning races, try something new. A shorter gear ratio. Different differentials. In Arcade games like Need For Speed heat, who needs racing lines when you can be agressive af... Ripping the E brake around turns and Nos on higher gear acceleration.
@MilitiaGamingCommunity3 жыл бұрын
I love your enthusiasm and I agree do what you feel the most comfortable with however if you want to be the fastest with the cars, the correct engine, chassis and drivetrain parts need to be equipped. Being aggressive is fine but racing lines in this game 100% matter. I recommend you check out the world record runs listed here and then try to attempt one using your style of driving. I think you will be enlightened a little. (none of this is meant to be rude btw) just facts. happy racing.

Thanks for watching my stuff!! I honestly love the STIs for offroad in this game. The Hatchback is great and will win you a lot of races. Depending on the difficulty you shouldn't have any problems winning against the AI!

Trigger can you please tell mee how to improve my Subaru impreza WRX STI because I have elite but it's only level 290

Trigger love the vids - What if you have a car like the Z06 or the Cayman GT4 that under-steers like crazy even with the down-force all the way down and the steering sensitivity all the way up? Any other parts changes that can help it to turn?

Well you can switch to showcase tires but then you will for sure need to increase your downforce to get it just right. Understeer in this game is also a function of the car’s turning radius. That turning radius is not adjustable so if you have a car that handles badly, you’re always going to have a car that handles somewhat worse than the cars that naturally handle really well.

As for me an my driving style in thus game I prefer brake for drift same live tuning settings just brake for drift but that's me it may not work for everyone tho

Um why don't you adjust the camber on the front wheels to decrease understeer??
