Happy weekend English learners, here’s a little tip 😎 In English we use the term “Pick up” In reference to other people all the time, here’s the reasons why - 1) Literally to pick up (lift up) another person. Example - The sand on the beach was too hot for my daughters feet so I picked her up and carried her. 2) To collect someone from a location in your car or on a motorbike. Example - Sorry, can’t talk now, I have to pick my wife up from work. Do you need picking up later? 3) In relation to dating - Example - my friend is always trying to pick up girls with corny chat up lines, it’s embarrassing! Hope it helps 😎

Hi Eleesha, 1)there confusion between will and going to. 2) sometimes which referes to place like staduim or house and where also I can't identify the difference and when l can use which or where for places? Thank you 😙😘😘
@GrantCareerCoaching5 жыл бұрын
"going to" can mean traveling to a certain place, but it can also mean "planning to do something" EX: He is going to the USA to study. (traveling) EX: I am going to watch movies after work today (planning to do something) For the second definition, it is very similar to "will", but you need to add a "be" verb when you use "going to", that's why I added "am" to the second sentence. I hope this helps! :) If you want more English practice, I share free lessons on my channel. Good luck with your English studies! :)

Then is similar to "next", it is used when saying something that will happen after something else EX: I will read a book, then eat dinner. Than, is when you are talking about two things that have a certain quality, use "than" so show which thing has that quality more. EX: He is taller than me. (tall = the quality) I hope this helps!
