appreciate the directions to get pycharm cleanly working with the circuitpython boards! Only thing I did differently was to use tio in the pycharm terminal instead of leaving to an external terminal window.

This is great, I'm excited to try it out. I was hoping there might be tidbids about git integration - I get the impression that there's no way to set it up in a "normal" way since you're always writing to the board as you go, but do you have a favorite workflow?

Thanks so much! I haven’t explored PyCharm’s git integration yet, but hope to. The other course I teach is in Xcode for SwiftUI development and I have all of those students submit their work via GitHub classroom w/Xcode integration. Both courses are for newbies but the iOS course has an easier setup and it’s a pretty natural integration. I’d likely intro git stuff in the PhysComp course after a few weeks so I don’t overwhelm them with setup stuff. Not sure if you work with anyone interested in the basics but I’m in the process of re-creating all my intro lessons at bit.ly/circuitpython-tutorials and if/when I get to git I’ll add it there. Rushing to get as far as I can in rework this month so I can also rework the iOS stuff next month for the start of Fall classes. Peace.
