Everything has worked as desired for option 3, but I'm having one small issue - when I physically hit pad 1 (bottom left most rubber pad) on the maschine, it triggers Midi note C3 in the drum rack. I used to be able to get this hit to trigger C1 automatically. Is there any way to reassign which drum rack note within ableton to which the machine rubber pads will trigger? Thanks!

Thank you, man! Is it possible to use the MK3 as a midi controller for example via a drum rack and change the colour of the pads depending on the songs? For example my first song I use pads 1,2,3 and 4 they automatically turn on in red to tell me that they are playing in this song. When I switch to the second song, they turn off because I don't use them but pads 5,6 and 7 turn on because they are on this second piece. A kind of custom pad colours depending on what is played in my drum rack or not according to this or that song?

At 6 minutes 30 seconds you clicked on your favorites and selected maschine. But I do not have it as my favorites or know exactly how you put it in there. Like you said "open up an instance of maschine" I really have no clue what that means. Could you please explain that to me?

Hi Christian Villalobos, I clicked on the favorites category in Ableton, because I use Maschine a lot and it's easier to find when you have a lot of plugins which I do. An instance simply means how many Maschine plugin(s) are being used in your project. Ideally you would use one. Hope that helps!

Hi Natefree, if you have a repeat plugin you can MIDI map it to the Maschine controller.

Hi Rasheed, thanks. To use the audio effects or midi effects you have to add them to the master maschine instrument track. Now if you want to add them to the individual groups you have to assign their outputs in the maschine software to tracks in ABL 🤔sounds like an episode topic. 👍🏼 thanks for the sub😬

@@JosieCarr no probs love ur vibe..i think i just found another way..i used external instrument tracks in abl set it up similar to how u did it for those midi tracks, dragged midi pattern from maschine to the extern inst track...now i have midi patterns and ability to add abl audio effects right there on the external inst track....bless up..will be looking out for more of ur vids

the only tutorial that matters with ableton coz it covers e'thing including the one that seemingly no one covered and that is how to use it to input midi from non mk3 instruments.....plus using it as a controller at the same time...(something that was so easy in cubase, but seemingly not so in ableton)

Hey Albert, it’s called the Detail View. There are a few ways to open it. You can double-click on the clip you want to edit. You can use the Show/Hide disclosure triangle on the lower right side in both views or if you using a MAC, you can use the keyboard shortcut command; Option + CMD + L.
