That’s what I did, I took pictures of anything and everything and then send them to the right person to see them. And that’s how I take photos now for the city I live in. Go out and take photos.

Early on I asked if I could photograph rehearsals at a local theatre. The lighting was amazing (it’s pretty much already done for you) and this got me some work then with the actors, doing headshots and lifestyle work. Actors alway need new images! What actually got me lots of work was learning to design websites, just using platforms like Squarespace or Wix. Then approaching a business with the offer of BOTH photography and web design as a package. I can now travel and do photography with design. I love it!

Can't tell you how inspired I feel Laura after watching this video, thank you ! I have been really wanting to and trying to get back to photography its been almost 4 years since covid that I haven't touched my camera. I recently bought a new camera sony A7iv to jump back as the the gear I previously owned was almost 14 years ago. And I am so happy I took that step and now it's about taking the 2nd step of putting myself out there. I'm in a new city, don't know the language (french), no friends, have been going out to shoot but having hesitation will I be able to do it.

I added the wireless mic I use but I forgot to add the lavalier mic I attach to it. Below you can find the combination I use. I sometimes use just the wireless mic because the mic transmitter, comes with a clip and with a magnet. Is there anyway you can give information about the steps of how to get paid legally by clients and businesses with out getting in trouble with the IRS (contracts, taxes, copyrights, apps, etc.)?. I feel like everyone is talking about how to make money with photography but can’t find proper videos that go through the legal steps. I know you’re not in America but I still think it would be helpful to know how it is where you are. Thank you! 🙏
