My first thought today was, “well no tutorial from Carol today to watch with my first coffee” then surprise here you are. Love your system for keeping your rows in order, I’ve gone from my design wall to my sewing machine and sewn them into opposite position. Thanks Carol for another great learning tip. Fantastic 👍❤️😊

Brilliant! I had written with Sharpie on flower topped pins, but the tops melted when I pressed the blocks. I use the plastic tab closures that come on sliced bread to wind my floss/yarn bobbins and also to clip on and label my computer cords. Now I have another use for them: I pound a small nail through the top corner to create a hole for the safety pin, write the quilt row number on each tab, and then trim off the part that used to clip the bread closed OR even easier, I found I can close the opening of the clip with a dab of hot glue. Another low cost way to make my day! Thank you for the inspiration!

I’m only part way through your video this morning and all I can say is “WOW!!!!” 😂 I don’t have a space where I can lay out anything larger than a throw size quilt top on the floor so I, going shopping today! I’m lucky to have Hobby Lobby less than a couple miles from my front door (also a Michael’s around the corner) plus my very good friend “Amazon”. I don’t have a Cricut and was so glad to learn about those numerals - I took screen shots so I can remember🤔🤔😄😄. And I will definitely be sharing your fabulous, amazing idea for making sure blocks are ready to sew!!! The British have a wonderful words for how I feel - gobsmacked!!!

Great idea to organize off the mat to the wall to the machine. I've used a similar system for many years. I have a scarf hanger, with some dips in the hangers that hold the clips, what's great about this little helper is that the regular hanger would droop with every clip at one end, where the dips hold the hanger steady. thanks again

I have been using painters tape on the first block of the row which doesn’t stay on well but this will be my new method! Thanks for showing the sewing and ironing of the rows too. I had been using little bits of numbered paper and little craft clips to keep my rows organized. Then I found this idea from you about a year ago and LOVED it. I made it a bit easier on myself (and prettier) by purchasing (from Amazon) heart-shaped stainless steel key tags that have the numbers 1-20 laser cut in them. Just as you did, I attached the safety pins and put them on the ring binder. They work SO well. I did, however, find the safety pins too thick for more delicate fabrics. So, for those fabrics, I used thin glass-head straight pins, put a dot of super glue onto the bottom side of the pin's ball head, then slid a numbered bead onto each pin (could also use alphabet). As I glued them, I stuck them into a piece of styrofoam and let them hang upside down so the bead would set to the head of the pin. Both the tags and the beaded pins work beautifully. Thank you again for your tutorials. I appreciate you :)

What a simple but brilliant tip on how to organise the blocks and never sew the wrong ones together, something i can get wrong even when taking blocks from my layout to the machine. Love the idea of that simple pinned note to self on pressing. It's all so logical that I'm sure many will think " now why didn't I think of that? ". Thank you again. PS I'm glad to see books 1 -3 are already listed on Amazon UK . Hope to see no 4 soon as well and then I decide which ones to buy.

I am told that the shipments to the manufacturer have been delayed. They were expected in December, now January. After the distributers get them, then the retailers will get them. I would contact your local quilt shop, if you have one near you, see if they will be carrying them. I will not be selling them but as soon as I know more, I will give a shout out wherever I can. Thanks for watching.
