That was great! Now I know what the mystery stitch on my top stitch machine is for. Flat felled is my next new journey!

Tell us the machines that will achieve each stitch? Possibly tell us what machine will achieve a flat lock seam.

Very cool and informative! OK, so I have an activewear garment (leotard) that uses bonded element that is has lost it's bond. Where can I purchase these adhesives?

Thank you, that's very helpful. However, I had one doubt regarding the PLAIN SEAM & SERGE SEAM. Don't both of them will fall in the same category?

Yikes! A large number of errors here. Silk for athletic wear? Flat felled seam used mostly on wovens, not stretch fabrics because it does not stretch. Same for French seam. Bias? No, just simply bound seam. The binding material can be either bias (usually selected with woven or non-stretch fabrics) or straight grain. What you showed was knitted stretch fabric used as a binding cut on the straight grain. Hopefully the manufacturer will correct these technical errors. Also first seam was an overlock serged seam, and last one was an overlock edge finish. Both are done on serging machines. The flat lock seam you showed is a special kind of flat lock, as there are many types.

Thanks for this! BTW you sway a lot from side to side! It's a little distracting when trying to focus on your presentation!

Thank you for the video! Do you have any brands or tips for products for doing the heat sealed seams? When I google it I only find people using for example heat n bond for hemming and putting the tape hidden, not on the edges like you show. :)

Using a flatlock stitch, do you always join two pieces of fabric or do you just sew over one piece to give it that sporty look?
