This drill helps isolate the upper body. While doing this drill pay close attention to feel. Target in on certain parts of the shot, what are the hands doing? How do the arms feel? Where is the puck on the blade? Be curious while performing these shots and use

Coach Jeremy I just wanted to say thanks for uploading this series it has really helped me improve in hockey and has kept me motivated to do better. Just recently I've found it hard to find really good hockey drills to do at home. Every Saturday I am waiting for your video because I can't wait to try out another drill and play some more hockey. Can't wait for the next drill keep up the good work 👍🏻

I do this drill while balancing on my knees on a big exercise ball. It get me up high enough that my stick is not at a weird angle (there is benefit to a weird angle like you mentioned) but forces you to shoot from an uncomfortable and often off balance position like if a player is trying to knock you off the puck while you're shooting. It is also a good way to work your core muscles.

I don't know the level he is playing ice hockey at, but there's a lot of great canadian players outside of NHL (like all around europe) so the competition to enter the national team wont be easy even if NHL is out :)

Hey coach I am learning how to play ice hockey right now at the age of 11. I am a little nervous because i want to make the NHL but I have started late. Do I have a chance? I play street hockey and have been undefeated in that. I have heard that ice hockey is very different. Do I have a chance of achieving my childhood dream? -Arhaan, 11, Long Island, New York

BANNANA PRODUCTIONS20 hi, yes i know im not jeremy. But every kid has a chance to make the NHL im 10 and i only really got good at hockey when i was 8, when i was going into novice. I watched jeremy all summer what happened, well tyke 3 goals 2 assists. After summer novice 17 goals 25 assists. So I know you just started at 11. You still have a chance, when i would practice I pretend im in the NHL 3rd period and down by 5 goals, that makes me really push myself. You should do that too. Now im going into atom 2nd year last year i had 14 goals and 32 assists. Just keep working hard you will achieve the NHL Sorry im from 🇨🇦 im not sure if the age groups are called something different in new york

You're still very young, you've got all the time in the world as long as you give it your best. Learn to love the game and love to learn the game. As long as you put in the time and effort, you will give yourself the best chance. Remember that not everyone is cut out to make it, but the most you can do is do your best and not regretting any of it. I'd imagine the worst thing is to have regrets of not doing something to your best if you ever have to look back and not be where you want to be. It's all about drive and discipline. Now go have fun! One more thing, it's also important to acknowledge that ice hockey is an expensive sport so be grateful to your parents, and or those who provide you with support to do what you want to do. If you can understand what it takes to be grateful and understanding, you can also be a great person. Realizing what it takes to be put in a good position to succeed will make you drive harder! Sorry to add another piece, but on the ice, stay gracious and humble to those around you, but be confident in your capabilities! Never second guess yourself, that is the worst thing you can do to yourself!

@legendariestlegendarycomme7788 7 жыл бұрын
The only problem with this is the fact the stick is forced to be further away from where u usually shoot making it good for power but bad for technique maybe a 80 flex mini stick would be better 😂😂😂😂 sorry if this is negative Jeremy love the vids
