One useful tip for putting up the rubber gloves is to get them partway on, then blow into them to partially inflate them, which lets you pull them further on.

I've got a flat roof (actually two!), but the tar and gravel design. I'm always tempted to put more "stuff" up there (antennas, solar panels, patio), but I'm also leery of creating leaks since it's harder to fix!

Gloves from a medical field prospective where you change them out constantly and your hands are almost always wet either due to sweat or hand washing. Couple of quick options, go up a size so they slide over damp hands quicker and with less of a headache, don’t wear the stretchy latex gloves or stretchy period. They love to fight wet hands and will get you aggravated quick. You can go with vinyl or other synthetic (still size up) or buy powdered gloves or carry powder made out of corn starch to stay away from talc. But imo one size up is always a place to start, hope this helps, I also craft and diy and understand the desire to keep your hands clean or protected from chemicals

I hold the glove open on the palm side with the other hand and blow into it while pulling at the same time. No need to carry powder with you.

some of the reviews I read were about people fixing metal roofs. use the mesh. I just replaced 6 pieces of the corrugated metal roofing on my garage. only sliced my hand once. :) Eric.

Cornstarch on your hands. I don’t use talc due to smell and it’s fine material will go into your lungs.
