If I could just make a suggestion for a new journaler. Don’t buy everything that all the years experienced journaler have. You don’t need it all right at the start. Start with a junk journal. No loss to using mail envelopes from incoming. Find on glue one 15 inch metal ruler a pair of scissors, and just start making a book. You can use paper envelopes back to back and glue them together and make a journal without even having to sew in the signatures. You can get great ideas. From you tube. Miss E is a great resource. This video is a great starting point. Just start. 🥰 Good luck and enjoy the create. Welcome to junk journaling. It’s very fun.

My maternal grandmother loved flowers and flower arranging. I’m going to make a junk journal using a picture of her when she was a young girl on the cover. I bought some old gardening books that I’m going to use in it along with some pictures of her and some of her arrangements. You’ve given me some inspiration to get busy and get it made. My children always phone or text me when I’m in the loo(wc) or in the shower! It’s so regular I think it’s magic! Of course I don’t answer so that makes them do it more until I can respond. Sometimes I feel like the child and not the mum.

I'm new and I don't have a pile of stuff like that around my house. I have kept some packing material and a few older books. I have a real difficulty time tearing pages out of books. I'm an avid reader and value my books. I do read several of my books more than once. I'll look around and see what else I have besides bills. LOL

So glad you made this on video! I struggle getting started. I saw different size pages used , Edith if the page is short and you can only get the center hole on the page when sewing, is that ok? I stopped because a few pages were short and wouldn't get the top and or bottom hole to sew thru. So glad your kits always have the extra papers, bookpages and stuff to get started. Love the AJ kits!!
