We have bleached and unbleached. Great for this technique. ❤ all you do and always saving your videos too.And the ideas you come up with...amazing. Never would of thought of rub ons on material.. Surprise!! And LOVE your helper. Does a great job. Wish I had a helper. 😊 Thanks for Sharing.

Fabric definitely works in the die cutting machine. You might need some cardboard/paper shims or to cut with a piece of cardstock underneath it, but it does work well 😊

You are so clever! I love watching little hands help you. You can cut fabric with dies if you iron on a light stabilizer like Heat and Bond light. You can also clue it to some copy paper or light cardstock. The steel rule dies from the past are made for fabric and fit most machines will fit your machine without the plates. I have some wonderful Tim Holtz plates. Anyway thanks so much for your fabulous ideas.🤗

Quilters use die-cut machines to cut their designs in cotton all the time. It works perfectly. In North America, we call the fabric you are using today muslin and it is cheap and cheerful here too. Great video today Natasha. Thank you.
@dotmitchell89125 ай бұрын
Hi there calico has a higher thread count making it thicker and firmer than muslin here in NewZealand. Calico being suitable for lining drapes, bags . Muslin is really flimsy and you can see though it . Different countries , different products maybe .
@CanadianQueenmagenta5 ай бұрын
@@dotmitchell8912 thanks Dot, much appreciated. Here in Canada, we can buy different weights of muslin so it must be the differences in the countries.

Your cards are beautiful! When I first started making cards, I used torn strips of fabric for embellishments, rustic bows, etc. I also used muslin that I had left from quilting and stamped images on them. More recently, I used burlap paper/fabric and used it to die cut sentiments and some wildflowers. This video was a great reminder of some long forgotten techniques. Seeing your son in the video is always a joy! Cherish every day! Time goes by too fast! ❤ My youngest is 21 today.🎉 Tasha, Thank you for sharing!!😊

16 minutes is not a log video! We love watching you and that means we got a little more time with you. Little hands are so cute and so much fun that they like to make cards and craft too. What a nice thing that you are ok with them coming and taking your things to do their own creation. I am one of those that always use a piece of cardstock for the background. Strange that it never really occurred to me to use ink unless i was just barely doing the sides and letting it fall over to the top. Have a great day
