Thank you for explaining the MIDI scenario here. When I create its all MIDI from my VST's, but I always bounce to Audio clips after mixing because its less strain on the processor. It generally drops from 15%-20% down to 1%-2% once its all Audio. I love this M1 MacBook Pro but it definitely needs more than 16GB RAM for my use. I think 32GB or better yet 64GB RAM would enable me to keep my projects and all VST's open in MIDI. Either way it works! Still going back through the video archive btw;)

Still seem more involved then need be... save the mpc midi file 2 thumb drive then drag into S1 pro. Suppose to split into however many midi channels used then command B. It will solo every channel n bounce to audio..

I usually have six things in my beats ...bassline strings sample lead synth and obviously the beat I seldom put anything else in if I do it's sound effects or bells ect .. sometimes I don't even use six tracks ...but most of the other sounds I add are to play over the sample in the hook then take them out just with the beat bassline and sample playing and might add something light in just to complement the sample a few bars before the hook drops

The reason I ask is I could send a link with videos using FL or Ableton etc, there is no one way to mix beats but there are certain procedures and steps that’ll put you on the path to a decent to solid mix until you get your intuitive feel for the sound you want.
