Btw why didn't you replace the one by to a 8 speed drivetrain. Why didn't you replace the chainstay protector. It looks really ugly. And it didn't protect the chainstay really good

6yrs ago I met a good friend by the name of Mike better known as "six-o" in the messenger industry. We both loved bikes and paintball. Mike rode dh, We began hanging and playing paintball. I mostly rode bmx and wanted to get into mtb. I couldn't afford a good mtb, Mike gave me his v1 transition bottle rocket and said here's a gift I'll help you build it. I know it's an old bike, but I love it. He began to teach me about gears, parts, setups and such. 2yrs ago my friend was killed by cops and I didn't want to ride anymore. But today I am more determined to finishing building this bike in his honor.

Kevin's progression has been absolutely nuts. Got the chance to ride with him for the first time back in January for his first big drop, by the time I came to visit him in North Carolina, a few months later, I could barely keep up with him at Bailey. So dope to see it properly documented! And of course for Gallagher to get some much needed attention 😂

Seth is nasty with it. Like he has to back off so I can keep up. Don’t let him fool you. Seth is way more reckless than I am. Which makes him way faster.

It took me a while to realize the drop was actually the place where Seth crashed during Jordan Boostmaster's visit. It wasn't a drop back then.

I started out with Downhill cycling, then Crosscountry and road as I got older and hit that point where all the beer I drank ended up as extra weight. Still do a bit of Downhill, but lately my CX runs keeps my belly slim while I can still enjoy a lot of beer :)
