Not a fan of cargo bikes, not a fan of front loaded vehicles. But sure as hell I am impressed that the brakes took that burn with all that weight behind them. German science is the best in the world.

I'm not a biker but definitely an advocate for a multimodal city. One of the biggest barrier in Dallas (outside of the car culture) is the visibility of bikers. A common sentiment is "I've never seen anyone use that bike lane, maybe we shouldn't have any bike lanes" instead of "maybe we need more bike lanes that connect people to destinations all over the city". Anyways, thank you visiting Dallas.

I wear a motorcycle helmet when biking as it's rated to take harder hits and it's a lot more comfortable than bike helmets.

My motto is a happy driver is a safe driver. Stop at the stop signs and lights. Let drivers pass you. Don’t cross until cars have stopped. I have a known “run the red light” street. Give cars the right of way. I never ride in a peloton. I know I’m not faster than a car so I don’t blow through lights. Watch out for school zones where drivers are in a hurry. If I need to, I activate the crosswalk. I’ve cycled all over the country. And yes, I see bone headed moves on most rides. But I’ve been safely navigating road rides for tens of thousands of miles. Be safe out there

Oh man I relate to your frustration about nobody telling you how great it was to breathe! I’ve had asthma my whole life but didn’t get diagnosed until I was 21. I still remember the first time I could run without dying!! It’s so much easier to do this stuff when you can actually breathe :)

Can "warehouse facilities be built on someone's property (sleeping areas separated perhaps by room dividers with communal kitchen/dining/bathroom, etc.) with the express understanding that the structure reverts to the property owner in the future? This could then be remodeled into a beautiful "warehouse" home when financing becomes available or neighbors band together to assist when the need isn't so urgent (like "barn-raising" of the Amish?) Build a temporary "commune" (shared living areas, transportation, cooking, child care, etc. - like the Native Americans used to do) to make it through the winter. A garden (inside or outside) could be utilized and then left behind for landowner to take over afterwards...churches, building businesses may donate and much more "cost effective" in the short-term... For the "emergency" of winter; possibly a better option for many?

A worse city than Dallas to ride bikes in is Arlington. It's your typical suburb city with more strip malls than a forest has trees. What's worse is that there's hardly any sidewalks even on its busier streets. It's a legitimate danger to ride your bike in Arlington.

A very good law, that makes cycling for kids safer. Back-pedalling break hubs are almost foolproof, maintanace-free and are working without need for initial adjustment.

Glad you are feeling better with your weight loss and asthma Seth. Dropping weight just doesn't just make breathing easier, it improves asthma. It's actually more likely than cutting out dairy to have helped. Keep sharing the bike lifestyle, brother! It makes my job a lot easier! Dr Rick

Hey, I love your videos and am planning to convert my 2016 talon 3 into a single speed. I have ridden that thing to the ground . So, now i need to replace the forks, brakes and hubs but i wanna do it in a budget since if I get good parts for my 2016 talon 3 then the cost of the parts can quickly meet the price of a new bike. I don't want to spend more than 300 dollars and i tried looking at the used market but where I live , I can't find anything. So, what are your suggestions? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would think the downtown of any major city isn't welcoming to bikers, but there are bike/walking trails that'll get you where you need to go and there are designated bike lanes in some areas, but that doesn't matter when you can take an entire lane on the road to yourself. What major city is the most welcoming to bikers and skuuters? That'd be

Hey, whatever makes it fun for you, then you have exactly what you need. When I got on the north side of 55 years old, the ol' furnace didn't burn as hot, and I was burned out on decades of working out. My mountain bike hang in my garage for almost 2 years unused (I had skiing and dirt bikes, but nothing to fill the leg strengthening I needed year round). Bought an e-mtn bike, and that changed. Uphills became fun. But, what was really weird was that when I increase the assist, I actually find myself pedaling harder, simply because I just want to go faster (came from decades of riding/racing MX so when the speed increases, the fun increases). Very strange. Got to the point (been riding it for 3 months....have over 700 miles of trails riding) where I can run lowest boost or shut boost off for the entire ride. So, it gave me my fitness back. But, when I feel tired on a climb and I increase that boost, I end up peddling like a mad man, getting even more of a workout. I have a fitness watch, and my heart rate will actually increase on boost assisted climbs. Never expected that. Seems to be the opposite of this guy. We're all different.

Why are both of your senators from NC saying you only had 200 people killed and some missing when rescuers are saying 10,000 have died and 10,000 more missing?

I found this video very informative, but was confused how to update my auto insurance. In the video, the lawyer recommends increasing your uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. The lawyer states she is in North Carolina (NC), and the additional increase only costs her $20 per month. However, I'm in NJ and it is a "no-fault coverage" state, which NC isn't. I think for states with no-fault coverage, you would ideally increase your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) for medical expenses instead of Bodily Injury Liability. I'm not a lawyer, so if anyone has better advice (legal or not) feel free to chime in.
