Thanks, Justin. I have a newer model - a 2019 SEL, with the 1.5 eco boost engine, that I bought new. It’s been a reliable vehicle so far and is excellent in poor weather and snow. I bought it in Manitoba, then retired home to Nova Scotia, this past year. I moved 30 years worth of belongings home, in a 6’x12’ U-Haul trailer and it did a great job hauling through Northern Ontario and the hills north of Superior.

south of the border here. i've thought about these used. if I were to pick I would keep it dead simple and pick the base model with the non-turbo 2.5 Duratec engine.

108K on my 2019 1.5 L. Pros - cargo space good for its class, great handling, visibility. Digital speed option on display. Acceleration decent. Centre display large enough, not huge. Cons - gas mileage, driver aids wonky, can't disable lane departure. Volume button in awkward area.

Thank you very much for providing this tips video. Just bought a 2013 Ford escape earlier this year. I really appreciate the tips and tricks and overview.

Do yourself a favor and just buy a low mileage Lincoln MKC and you'll get a far more upgraded Escape for a similar price especially with the 2.3 engine. If you need a little more room with a better ride and engine choices, the Edge or Nautilus are great examples. The 2020 versions with the 2.0 motor was revised to fix the coolant leak in the cylinders due to a faulty head gasket. The older design was flawed and they corrected the problem by drilling a tunnel for coolant to flow through rather then a channel, leaving little room for the head gasket to adhere to on the block between the cylinders.
