Despite Hunter's slightly awkward trot jump, I think she had it until she did the 7 to the last wall instead of the 6 and caused the horse to land disunited in front for a stride.

Amazing rides! I have an eventing background and had no idea that equitation was like dressage over fences! Talented riders and horses. CONGRATULATIONS to both!! :)
@MissAfleisch10 жыл бұрын
Yep, hunter classes are more like dressage over fences. Jumpers are worried about getting over clean and in time. Hunters are worried about how they get over, form, approach, etc. Fun stuff either way!

I used to show both H & J (was on lonhorn jumping team at UT), but never rode equitation except on the flat. Still love the XC & Dressage, though!!

Oh wow, fun! I'm looking to get back into it. I love riding!

Cyndi Smith not to be critical, but dressage isn't about equitation. It is about the control and bond between you and the ride

I prefer Tori’s ride but her leg swings forward a lot- is this common? I feel like eq riders should have a solid leg that stays at the girth.

Excellent horse. Rider needs to work hard to deserve such a ride.

After you've won the maclay, can you compete again or no because you've already won it?
@MissJools113 жыл бұрын
Once you win the Maclay, you CANNOT ride in it again!
@gracier27183 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That’s nice because then it’ll give a chance for other riders to win, but it would be neat to try winning again. They should have a winners championship where they bring back all the winners for one big competition

hunters stirrups looked much too short.
@kayleyeliza199210 жыл бұрын
I agree her stirrups look awkwardly short for the length of her leg, but some people do prefer their stirrups super short when they jump.
@DrivenStar9 жыл бұрын
Hunter is pretty tall, that's a lot of it.
@kayleyeliza19929 жыл бұрын
DrivenStar True, because it's hard for people with long legs to get a good stirrup length The technically correct length often makes their heel to low to be affective against the side of the horse, depending on the horse they're riding of course.
@simoneo75098 жыл бұрын
+daretofly1999 I disagree, for jumping such big fences the stirupps are the perfect lengh. Even though she is tall

@PEHeventing late to the game- girl..wow. You are an INCREDIBLE rider. So fluid and in tune with your equally talented horse! Picking up that lead in the corner- you gave my little dressage soul chills! Are you on insta?
