I know that!If that happen you should response with "日本語をちょっと話せます" (Nihongo o chotto hanasemasu) "I speak a litttle bit japanese". But in that case it means "I have no idea what are you talking about" and they will try to answer in english. ^^

Raigan The first person in this exchange, Hope Franklin, said she loved the kid in the background of this video. I said the kid is an attention seeker, and I think the presenter should have given that rude kid the attention of a good sidekick to the face for pulling the focus off the lesson.

Just returned today from 2 weeks in Japan having used all your phrases. Feeling very appreciative of the Phrases you offered and great way of teaching them. Many, many thanks!!
@heliachai15645 жыл бұрын
While the words are helpful, the comments in between proved more valuable. The whole thing about the Japanese not saying "no" directly, but hesitating.... VERY, VERY helpful. When they hesitate, you think that there is just a lack of adequate communication and keep trying, to everyone's frustration!

Useful for beginners. I REALLY appreciate that he spoke the phrase slower and annunciated well. Beginners are trying to pick up sounds they have never heard. They are watching your mouth to see how thats done. So many vids that dont do that. Some sound may be CH or TS. I need to see what your tongue is doing. And the cultural explanation is extremely helpful. Like explaining why my sister in law does not say No.
