First tip: use a tornado to pull troops AND activate the king Last tip: avoid placing mortar in the middle to avoid king activation.

the point isnt the king activation, yes you want to avoid it but its becaus its easier to kite the mortar in the middle. activating with tornado isnt a problem since with mortar your cards arent meant to cross the bridge let alone get within king tower range

You can also use it to push/redirect ground-ranged units aggro by placing it infront of them when they come through the bridge eg. Dart goblin, magic archer That way it can tank while also being in range of the tower

Another thing to add - Mortar counters Egiant. The mortar doesn’t shoot it, and it kills troops behind it. I win most Egiant matchups because of the beautiful deadzone

It depends on the situation! Some decks don’t care if the King Tower is activated, like if yer secondary win condition is Magic Archer Tornado. Other times it matters a lot, like with Miner Poison.

ok so when a troop is tanking for support cards you can place mortar so the mortar will take down the support cards and you can take down the tank after that. for example suppose opponent is pushing with the giant and witch so you can place down mortar and when giants come close enough mortar can take down all those skeletons and witch and then you can take down the giant with your support cards
