ミクさん、 I really appreciate your videos, especially those that DON'T automatically have English or Romajii subtitles. I love to have the ability to turn English subs on at will to check my comprehension. Otherwise, I find it almost impossible to stop my eyes from wandering to that string of English or Romajii that I can see in my peripheral. Even when I want to focus solely on Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana reading, or just listening and absorbing without necessarily understanding, it can become almost more about the mental gymnastics involved in trying to ignore that familiar language at the bottom of the screen. Then add to this equation that I have "severe combined type ADHD" and it's an uphill battle that could just be fixed by making the subtitles optional rather than baking them into the video file. I love that about your videos. I also notice my listening comprehension increase when you speak, compared to other speakers I listen to often. I don't know if it's the dialect/accent you use in particular, but I love listening to you for comprehension purposes. I also listen to a lot of Umeda Cypher, the rap cypher from Osaka, and I understand a lot of their lyrics so maybe it's something about that dialect I have grown familiar? I love listening to your podcast on Spotify while driving :) ありがとうございます、ミクさん ps: Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk also, i realize this vid in particular has a lot of English on screen, but others don't. ~んだ　and ~なんだ (informal)。I think this is the best lesson about those particles because the video shows when we have to use them in a conversation. It is also teaching the formal particles. Thanks a lot.
