I feel sad for the mom. She lost her second husband, the man that gave her and her kids warmth, love and family. It's so sad that she had to settle down with her ex after losing her husband. They should've divorced them, so she can also spend some time, reminiscing happy moments and making new memories and so the abusive dad can also reflect on his life. An apology isn't enough for the almost 30 years of abuse she and her kids went through.

We can all relate to the way Lu Chen's mom has endured life with the no-good husband and the way she took him back without so much of an effort from him to apologize (always thinking he didn't have to because he is a man); and however we feel bad for her sake, at the end of the day, it her choice. We can only hope that the dad finally realized the value of his wife. If not, then, to each his own, nothing much anyone can do about it.....not even the children.

It is a sad thing that a husband can just ask forgiveness and that it. I do not think so, he should pay for his mistakes. He is old and should know better. I fo not really appreciate wives who just forgive their cheating husband without consequences.
