@@alteredbeast1974 you would insert it into the genesis like a game cartridge but it had a coax connection so you plugged it into the TV network. Then basically it just downloaded games to play to the flash memory on the cart. I remember playing all three sonics, toe jam and earl, i think like Michael Jackson's moonwalker maybe, I don't remember all the games but i feel like there was like 20+ games and it would change in and out every few months. it was pretty innovative for it's time. Hi - to the owner of the channel, do you have one from around this era where a drunk guy calls in and confesses to being erotically obsessed with his daughter-in-law, and the mother is out of town, and said daughter-in-law - whose like 16, clearly attractive and who has a boyfriend, which aggravates the hell out of this guy - is in the shower? The bf also happens to not be white, which seems to inflame the guy further for some reason.. Howard tries at all costs to keep the guy on the line, as he's getting drunker and talking in increasingly worrying ways about what he wants to do to the girl (he's even asking if to 'protect' her he should tie her up on the lawn outside). Howard insists on talking to to the girl when she's out of the shower and demands she goes to stay with her boyfriend or a relative and to just get out of the house asap. He does eventually talk to her - and she is disbelieving initially, but soon becomes aware of the gravity of the situ and the need to get out at any cost. The guy is clearly demented and lustfully salivating over the girl. It's one of those legendarily gripping segments. I remember it so vividly. Not sure there would be video of it, but audio for sure, as I've heard it several times on KZbin in the past, but not recently. Was def K-Roq Jackie era (I'm pretty sure pre-Artie)...Anyways, if by chance you have it, would be so grateful to hear it again...as I'm sure your other subscribers would. Was one of those Stern gems, like when Clay the serial killer called in,. or that other guy who tragically decapitated his gf, went on the run, then called in to Stern several times from prison...the type that is really morbid but you can't peel yourself away from..

I had Sega Channel it was like xbox Gamepass or PS+ now, you would plug in a giant cart, about the size of a 32X but twice as heavy into the genesis with a cable internet wire in the back and you have a choice of 50 games that would take 4 or 5 minutes to download and one save file between them all, so if played sonic 3 your phantasy star save would be deleted. The games would refresh once a month and there would be prototype, unreleased and import games to play as well. The only downside other than it ending in less than 2 years was bigger games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter would be cut in half with a version of the games with half the characters available.

The only thing i will say is, the segment was probably going to be alot shorter but Howard felt they had hit an unintended seam which had more entertainment milage in it - so carried it on. Granted , there are a lot of details on Gary's mind but to be ignorant of Howard's baseline policies on endorsements? I don't believe him. First Gary says there was no letter detailing this offer. In conversation Howard mentions that Gary had taken a phone call from Sega on this matter , then Gary bursts in saying that it was not a phone call OR a letter. So what was it , a smoke signal? When Gary's lying he tries to bury Howard under minutiae to distract Howard from the fact that Gary LIED. On the other hand , I wouldn't put it past Howard to be throwing Gary under the bus on this. Howard accepted the system into his home , but didn't want to sign a contract. When he found out about that he fell back on policy and screwed Gary over on air.
