As a teacher of industrial woodworking and tooling for 30 years, I find this use of a drill as a router with some skepticism. As the video shows, it IS possible. However, the 3-jaw drill chuck is designed to hold cylindrical tools working in the axial direction. Router chucks use collets for use with bits cutting with pressure on the radius. Using the drill chuck this way can result in the tool coming loose due to vibration. The lower rpm increases the chip load at the cutting edge, increasing vibration. Not really safe.

Дружище!!! Для шлифовки или зенковки, для разворачивания отверстий дрель, с ее 2800 потянет. А для фрезерования соррян, это безумно мало, дерево анизатропно и очень сильно, поэтому на малых оборотах, жа еще с 2-х заходными режущими кромками, материал будет подрывать на границе перехода свойств, от вдоль до поперек волокон. И можно пораниться, однако. Не зря же на фрезерах и кромочниках обороты высокие, именно по этой причине.

"Право на жизнь" конечно имеет, но в реальности - это уж совсем "денрофекальный" вариант. При том (как не раз сказано тут в комментах) не только из-за скорости - она слишком низкая для такого мягкого материала, как древесина. Но и из-за того, что дрель по своему устройству НЕ рассчитана на боковую нагрузку. Я сам подобными "изысками" убил уже не один инструмент - сперва просто по глупости, позже из-за безвыходности (надо было срочняком, а подходящего инструмента не было под рукой). Так что это скорее : как сварганить фигню для производства полной фигни и убиения инструмента.

Given how inexpensive basic routers are today (I recently got a full sized one from Ryobi on sale for under $30), and how slow this 'device' spins in comparison to what's needed to do a decent job, you'd have to be stranded on a desert island (with unlimited fuel for your generator and an unlimited spare parts inventory) for this to make any sense at all. It's both clever and totally dumb at the same time.

4 отверстия в большом кругляке и можно к столу прикрутить кверху фрезой и так же поднимать и опускать ну и читаем комменты ниже про количество оборотов для работы с деревом.

Это не функция дрели, а приспособа для неё. Дрель осталась со своими функциями - сверлить, вкручивать - откручивать. И стоило заморачиваться чтобы сныть с дервяхи фаску? Есть рубанок или лучше лобзик с подошвой установленной под 45*.

Глупое изобретение !!! ...........Обороты дрели около 7000 оборотов в минуту, в то время, как фрезер дает до 25-30 тысяч. Эта разница сказывается на качестве реза. Кроме этого, нецелевые нагрузки сильно убивают редуктор дрели

There is also a drill attachment called a A Portable Drill Guide that you can buy and drill at any angle you like and I would think you could insert a router bit onto it and get the same result as a router without buying a router. 😂😂 P.S. The Portable Drill Guide can also be used a as small drill press. 😂😂

Das ist kein Bohrer sondern ein Fräser. Ein Holz-)Fräser benötigt zudem eine sehr hohe Drehzahl, weshalb eine Bohrmaschineals Antrieb ungeeignet ist.

This is why we need a functional "Thumbs Down" button: Wafer board will not hold up to the stresses and torque that the drill generates, especially if it hits a knot in the workpiece. I can easily imagine it exploding into several pieces. This thing is stupid dangerous. If an employee walks into my shop with one of these, I would immediately confiscate and destroy it, and fire him on the spot. The depth control provided by the bolt lacks the precision that proper routing needs, plus it looks like the bolt would interfere with the drill housing if you're doing deep cuts. The handle by the chuck is the wrong place to hold a router. If the bit hits a knot or experiences blow-out, the resulting torque could send the whole machine flying out of your hand. And then there's the cost: sure, this was made by scrap wood pieces, a couple drawer slides, and other parts, but your time is also worth something. Buying a proper router would probably be cheaper than the hourly wages it took to make this hack, and it would be a better tool.

Sorry I'd never do this. In my country you can find a cheap electric trimmer/router that would cost not much more than the time and materials for building this jig, plus it would perform way better, and you wouldn't have to worry about burning out your drill which is not designed for continuous running like this. Unless for some reason you have multiple free electric drills lying around...this is not a good looking hack.

Если уж хочется такое делать, то делать нужно всё же из прочной толстой фанеры, а не из ЛДСП. А лучше всё же купить простой фрезер. И более точный механизм, и обороты выше, и функционал шире.

@@Thesnowiswhite я использую совецкую дрель для фрезеровальных задач...но у меня направляющая из швеллера на верстаке стоит и к ней я креплю самодельные приспособы с болгарками, ленточными пилами, дрелями...но задачи грубые для дерева...хотя восновном камень, плиты швп фрезеровал

Сделать хреновый фрезер из хреновой дрели можно. Но не нужно. Самый простенький китайский фрезер будет стоить столько же, сколько и дрель. Удобные настройки, удобная замена фрез, микроподстройка глубины, копировальные втулки, параллельный упор с функцией циркуля и, главное, 25000 оборотов, а не 4500 как у дрели. В данном случае весь этот геморрой не окупается. Вообще такое впечатление, что видео создано с целью провокации хейтеров. Это ж сколько отзывов, хоть и ругательных...

A decent router costs around USD 100. It will provide the speed needed as well as a few standard bits normally. This is a very complicated way to save USD 100 and end up with a very inferior solution.

На фрезе 30 000 оборотов, дрель около 3000. Чувствуете разницу? "Кёльнер" недорогой 2500 стоит в 2022-2024 году, а то и меньше. Для непродолжительных работ подойдет.
