The writers have a fetish for writing weak women weak who tolerate being abused and writing arrogant, self centered, controlling, violent men who never actually change or demonstrate true remorse but somehow still expect to be forgiven. It’s creepy. These writers really need to learn about the popularity of actual revenge dramas where the injured person (the abused female lead) actually punishes the people who hurt her (especially the male lead but also the evil mistress and any other abusive family) and lives happily ever after while those who hurt her get their just punishment. Or else, they need to discover the idea of having the male lead undergo an actual redemption arc where he is forced to suffer and work hard to atone and actually give a believable apology and stop demonstrating the exact same controlling and manipulative behaviors he has always displayed. Note: this only works if he is not a complete evil psychopath like in this drama and so many others. Otherwise, I can only assume that these writers are abusers themselves and are trying to promote the idea that abuse of women should be accepted and expected.

They are physically adults but written as if they have the intelligence of 5 yr olds. They can't make decisions for themsrlves ever. Even if they do, someone, ie ML, mother in Law, their parents or male siblings, can come along and completely erase their decision and tell them what to do. Even if they leave these toxic, violent, arrogant, narcissistic men, they're written to throw away their independence and return because the ML says he's 'sorry' even when there is no example of his growth. Oh the power of forgiveness that abuse victims return to someone who debased, tortured, choked, sexually assaulted, belittled, verbally and mentally abused, disrespected,never trusted them, believed loes about them, stole their blood and/or kidney, caused miscarriages and abortions but hey, you know 'love'... because nothing says love like treating someone as if they are less than the dirt beneath their feet.

The fact that he had the audacity to demand she forgive him-after continuing to demonstrate his violent and controlling attitude shows that he has not changed and has no insight into his wrongs. He didn’t even bother to apologize to her after he found her again. Literally the last time he saw her before she “died” was when he raped her! But apparently he doesn’t think she deserves an apology for that or any of the unforgivable things he did to her in the past. There are no decently written female characters in the story! First, we have the female lead, who is so weak that she mistakenly believes that the male leads abuse of her is a sign of his love. It isn’t. If you love someone you would never treat them the way he did her, regardless of what lies you believed. Sadly, she thinks that him being slightly less abusive when he comes back is a sign that he has changed. He has not. He is the same controlling, manipulative man who only cares about his wants and never hers. Then, of course, we have the evil sister, who seems to have zero motivation to be evil but expand an enormous amount of energy being vicious and hateful. Finally, we have the male leads female assistant, who is complicit in all of the harm he did to the female lead, and repeatedly excuses his actions and treats him as if he is the injured Party, instead of the one who caused all of the trauma.
