What a great catch! i didnt notice that the colors were switched. I had always thought that Ruyi did frame the letter since the whole incident of zenshu framing ruyi's handwriting would have been ironic. and i assume Ruyi did the same here. but not 100% sure

Commonly notes and communications from high ranking ministers to the Emperor had 3 versions made as a precaution. 2 were dispatched to the Emperor and one retained by the sender as written records. The ink wasn't gold usually, and green pigments aged horribly. Usually the very best squid ink was chosen, which is black and colour fast, and red. To send a letter in gold was extremely unusual and in these scenes it's likely a way for the Prince of Jia's clan to show deference to the Emperor. If there were two copies available, sending the second spare with Ruyi makes more sense. I don't believe Ruyi faked it, she had no need to

It's probably a replica . Like , nowadays we're often supposed to submit two copies of certain letters or documents, or one handwritten document and a xerox of it because different people will be seeing it; but without Xerox or printer, they surely sent two handwritten copies of the same thing, I guess?? It would've been fun if Ruyi forged it , but no ..... Lord Yu actually abandoned Jia .
