It's like this comment section hasn't heard of Color Commentary before (and no that's not a race joke...). I suppose the biggest issue here is simply that Mike is really a color commentator too so they lack the play-by-play commentator and the two just fed off each other the whole match. Still better than the Nemo match where Zhi(?) made a poo joke about a fly buzzing around Nemo's head. That said, Play-By-Play isn't exactly necessary much of the time in SF (dear god I hate listening to a dry "There's the uppercut" when I can freaking see the uppercut myself thanks). and most of the good stuff KBrad and Mike do provide (talking about buffering, punishment options, frames, hit boxes, and so on).

The commentary, wich wasn't a commentary, was only bothering my poor ears the entire match. The Ultra David & James Chen duo is the real deal. When they are commentating, and already enjoyable show like a SF pro players fight, becomes perfect.

What +Dragonaires said. +Lunar Swoon, I don't blame you to think like that, assuming that you aren't too familiar with the FGC and follow shows like Capcom Pro Talk and Excellent Adventures with Gootecks & Mike Ross. But this is how they joke. They're very good friends, and in fact, the reason why they team up a lot is because people really like the type of dynamics they have together (they thrash talk a lot, but in a funny way). They do this EVERY SINGLE TIME. I do admit that maybe for Premier events Capcom should have more "professional" commentating (like Ultra David & James Chen does), but still this is hilarious. I watched this live on Twitch and I was laughing my a$$ off. Especially because I know this is how they joke. If you're not very familiar with them, then I exhort you to watch Capcom Pro Talk S2 Ep18, Excellent Adventures Ep 75 and 76. Hope that helps!
