Poongko should be happy he made it that far and it was someone like Xian that eliminated him. Seth is utter garbage in Ultra. Capcom has tried their best to make sure no one would ever play Seth again in every version after Vanilla and they have come the closest in Ultra. Seth is so bad in Ultra that him actually being a glass cannon no longer makes sense.

I agree. As someone who still mains him (not main main anymore but still one of the characters I use), his damage output is extremely lacking for what low amount of health he has. Hell, even before I picked up the game (which was around Classic Super), I argued that he was a weak character because of it. Regardless of his moveset and guessing game, most of his wins are from really good, hard reads, and he doesn't get them, he just flat out loses every match.

***** Indeed. Capcom really hates Seth man, I guess they couldn't beat the Arcade Mode on Hardest so they had to screw him somewhere, because what they did was absurd. But what I point as his most basic weakness is not only his health but his footsie game didn't improve whatsoever. And he has some very bad footsies. Take Gouki for example, his normals are quite fair and the buffs he received in Ultra, in exchange of his vortex, balanced him quite well for the regular situation(it became much harder to play, but it didn't became frustrating).While Seth had nothing, most characters will have something that beats a couple of his normals quite easily, not to mention the enormous frame disadvantage of his regular moves on block. I've tried Seth once, but I gave up because of his health, and that was in AE2012. I cannot even imagine the hate of really good Seth players in ultra.

Draxis32 I'm about to jump on the Evil Ryu bandwagon myself. Although I wouldn't call it a bandwagon because I personally thought Evil Ryu was ALWAYS good, especially in AE2012 when his LK Axe Kick got enough frame advantage to combo after an FADC. Evil Ryu doesn't need gimmicks (which is basically Seth's gameplay), he just needs an opening.

POONGKO GOT HIS ASS WHIPPED! LMAO!! Gen is one of my favorite characters. I wish I can use Gen like Xian does. That match was legendary! Poongko looked like he was about to cry. lol

Yea I use gen a lot also amazing ultras and the super is AMAZEBALSSSSS but sometimes getting in on you're opponent is hard sometimes and his combos usally end in tat kick which is easly punishable :3

basically any characters that can charge in quickly will finish Seth easily.

this is why i quit using seth. he gets touched twice and its a wrap. you cant even play defensive with him because his chip damage is horrendous as well. also, xian needs to get new glasses or im changing his name to "squints"

Am I the only one that thinks Xian basicly plays Gen handicapped? He doesn't seem to use the other moveset that much.

3 months late, but I'll answer. Gen players don't make much use of the other style because why bother? The first style is so good.
