I have been watching some of you videos. So much great info, I wish I could take a couple of live lessons. I watched the drive 3 steps for older men I m 62. I purchased a new PGX Driver, but was hitting same distance. After two days adjusting my grip ever so slightly and following your three tips on swing, ball position, and stance I am driving the ball straighter 90% of the time and 30 - 40 yards farther. My best game for 36 was 47. Normally 49-50. 10 years of golfing. Two days and 18 rounds of golf I shot a 39 on the same 36 9 hole course. Incredible. I can't thank you enough. My swing is so much more comfortable and my grip adjustment passed on to my irons has improved my hit direction and distance 10 fold. All I can say is thank you. Perry Navy vet 30 years retired. Did I mention no arm pain after playing 27 holes. Just amazing

Love this. I was trying to teach my son how to get more distance by doing this, but you do a much better job of teaching and the visuals that you use are great. Sending this to my son.

Im 65 and teach a lot of older golfers. Most have so little fitness that its hard for them to reach 150 yards with a driver. Conversely, I have some who are more fit and are looking for the "magic bullet" for more distance. Lack of flexibility limits them a lot. I played some pro sports and have maintained my fitness. I can carry about 220 pretty easily. This is something I am going to practice and introduce to my students. Gotta make it work for me first tho. Thanks Todd. Another great tip and practice routine.

You bet Robert, thanks for watching!

Would have been interesting to see you use a shot tracker for distance measurements between the two swings to demonstrate that increased hand distance from the ball actually translates to greater ball distance at impact

Solid points, we agree. Have it noted for next time. 👊Thanks

Its my first summer golfing and i was hitting some crazy driver slices and that led to me breaking the head right off of the shaft! Oops! Too bad they’re borrowed clubs too :(

I play a ts2 driver turned down to 9 degrees why do I hit the ball so high I hit a slight draw using the vertical line swing how do I get the flight down my club head speed is 104 using a hazardous stiff shaft an I swing up slightly

Sorry for going off topic, how can avoid hitting the ball off the toe?

Won't the higher hands in the top of the backswing cause a steeper downswing, making hitting up on the ball more difficult?
@USGOLFTVshow3 жыл бұрын
Good question, not if you add some hip turn on the backswing. The turn will get the hands and club around allowing for an inside drop on the downswing. Make sense?
@inusprinsloo12573 жыл бұрын
@@USGOLFTVshow Yes. I'm asking the question because I'm struggling with often hitting behind the ball with my driver and also skying the ball sometimes, which could both be because of an already steep downswing

I noticed that in your actual "vertical driver swing", your hands aren't nearly as high as they are when you demonstrated the vertical swing position (green line versus the flat red line). Is that typical? In other words, is feel not real?
@USGOLFTVshow2 ай бұрын
@@davemurray9533 we like to see the hands in line or slightly above the shoulders. This is a general guideline. We cover this in our book which you can find here www.badliegolfbook.com

You Demonstrate how far away your hands should be BUT when you take your shot it’s no where as far away as you think it is suggest you play your instruction tape back and check it out.
