Really really trust your opinion and taste. I really hope you dont end up trying to sell us bunch of nonsense plugins that you don't even use ( everyone is becoming a plugin influencer lately i got sick of it) . at this point you have my 100 percent trust;) amazing to have you on youtube actually. thank you for another great demonstration.

Thank you! Currently, I’m not planning on developing a plug-in. However, if I ever decide to create one, I would most likely partner with a company to ensure it offers something new and powerful.

Could you please do a video covering "what" exactly to listen out for on the Delta signal when we are using clippers?

Absolutely!

Great plugin. Would it be possible to see a vid of your setup and flow?
@thismixissick6 ай бұрын
It is. Yes, absolutely. Would love to make that! Actually in the process now of switching everything to the Flock system.

Hey bram how donu compare thiw with the bm limiter clipper and the prism clipper? Thank you for the video
@thismixissick3 ай бұрын
For simply hard clipping I prefer both of those analog options. However, the Gold circuit in the plugin is different and very powerful when used at the right time and place.
@Spunkbreaker3 ай бұрын
@@thismixissick gonna try this one! Thank you for the comment
@joeyf8086 ай бұрын
do you then follow clipping with a limiter?
@thismixissick6 ай бұрын
Generally clipping slightly before the final limiter works great.

I wonder if this is worth picking up if one has Acustica Ash/FTC. It's crazy how spoiled for choice we are!
@thismixissick6 ай бұрын
It is! In that specific case I would download the demo for Gold Clip and test it for yourself. It’s a really powerful plug-in.
@nicolasfranz-koltren21496 ай бұрын
would you say you prefer it to standard clip?
@saddam.2126 ай бұрын
from this demonstration definitely gold clip! however standardclip also is good too or you can use acustica lift4 as clipper as well … the clipper mode was amazing & has mid clipping mode. i like use mode 3 which is sounds good on heavy bass music. so it depends on your taste, not every clipper is suit for everything 🙏🏻

Great input on Acustica Lift 4, Saddam! I’ll make sure to see if I can cover that in a video soon. To answer your question, Nicolas, I absolutely love StandardCLIP and feel it’s the most trustworthy choice in most cases.

free gclip is enough. a clipper is a clipper. the rest is marketing bullshit.
@thismixissick6 ай бұрын
In essence there’s similarities, yet I would highly recommend to demo some of these more pricey plug-ins!
@Spunkbreaker3 ай бұрын
Well, algorithms are different on each plugin. Algorithms are programming, wich sometimes are good and in other cases the programming is just right. On this case the programming and the algorithm is great.

This is a non-sense artistically and technically speaking... do you know that when played on the radio that kind of over clipped track will play less "catchy" ? Do you know that ALL radio stations have ALL their Audio processor to do that Job? Orban, Omnia, ST, BreakAway One, DSPX and so many other exotic brands? And in all these audio processors the clipper is the last stage of the process, they can even clip the multiplex signal (The stereo signal to gain some PMux)... But LESS is MORE ! A serious & decent Sound engineer should never clip a song, NEVER! But he should instead use a gentle Limiter (lookahead or not it's a matter of taste) Frankly, I've been doing mixing & mastering for 30 years, i am now 55, No Serious Sound engineer will ever do that to an artist's track... or he has a serious problem...

Thanks for explaining some of the techniques used by radio stations! Keep in mind that this video is about the loud masters of dance tracks, which you can, for example, hear in a DJ set or on Beatport. You can definitely use a more dynamic master when it’s aimed at radio playback. However, it’s important to recognize the current targets of dance tracks and that clipping is a significant part of today’s modern sound.
@drowzy23096 ай бұрын
You're not wrong, but like OP said, this is for Bass music. Most of which isn't playing on the radio station, but live audiences and headphone users/car systems. This is literal GOLD for these use cases.
@FrancoAmorto6 ай бұрын
@@thismixissick I 'am okay with you, if the target is only the Clubbing Scene, i share your thoughts, BUT if that track becomes a HIT and is played on Radios, you have to think of doing 2 different masters... One for Club and One for Radio Stations... (the last one should not be clipped... and processed in a more relaxed way) And this is what I've always done !
@thismixissick6 ай бұрын
@@FrancoAmorto great! Yes, that makes 100% sense and can be a way to go about it.
