Check single track sampler. Alex has a few cool ideas in his van. Driver seat swivels to desk area and he has a tv on a mount the rotates heaps so he can have tv while on bed and work monitor for editing from drivr seat. He has a bed that bends so he can have has a bed or a couch. He rides bikes. So lots of garage space under bed. He also has lots of battery etc. Maybe move bed up more and allow space for gun store and laptop store under bed on hidden voids etc.

I actually took quite a bit of inspiration from Single Track Sampler and his van. If I can't fit a desk on the passenger side like I'm hoping I think I will follow his approach and put the desk behind the driver seat. I hadn't considered doing a hidden cavity under the bed for storage...that could be a pretty secure storage for guns and electronics. Thanks for the idea!

Little early, but the water situation. Will you get a water softener, then a tankless water heater? Or what are the plans there? Also, shower only = gray water tank? or will you consider toilet too with a gray and black tank? Fantastic planning phases, so excited to see the progression.

I'll definitely have some sort of water filtration system, but not entirely sure on how many steps. And I plan on only have a gray tank. A black water tank just seems a bit...messy.

Have you considered using cooking top as a work space? Something that i was thinking is using a swivel drivers chair to face the bed and there you would have a desk and you can use that for work. In case you need a monitor, maybe it is possible to get one mounted to the top of the van.

Yeah I think that is my backup plan if putting the desk on the passenger side of the van doesn't workout. I do appreciate having a bigger monitor than just a laptop screen so I'll be trying out a couple different mounting solutions
