nice video, I spent hundreds of hours in a Bombardier MP 400+ winch cat back in the day. The biggest difference I see is in the boom design and cable routing. The controls are very similar

Great video. Love the sights and sounds. Not to mention the explanation of the machine’s operation. I always favored appearance of the PB winch. I wonder why prinoth never enclosed their’s.

Thanks for watching and your comment. I'm glad Prinoth didn't enclose theirs. The last shot of the video shows what I see in the rearview mirror so I can see at a glance if everything is working like it should. If it ever looks like its not wrapping perfect, I always stop and back up and let it try it again. I think I've been able to stop a couple of disasters because of that.

No need. Prinoth is no frills. Vary simple design. PB runs a captstain system. A lot more going on.

@@bensmith6608pb also runs without the drum attached to the cat so you don’t have to worry about which way you turn around. Almost every time I’ve ran the Sherpa winch Ive gotten bad wraps at side of the drum. You can literally see it happen in this video lol. Not a fan of prinoth what so ever.

Howdy all, i have seen Cats at the different ski areas, in N.C. many years ago. I've never seen a set up like this. Is it to help pull the cat back up the steeper slopes ? Thanks Tobync
