Using a Clay Amphora to Purify / Detox Tap Water. Make your tap water safe to drink, cook in and to use for brewing and fermenting such as kefir and kombucha production.
naturalspasuppl...
Found out how a traditional clay amphora, can dramatically reduce chloride and nitrate levels and by virtue of its egg shape, energize the water. Please watch the video to see all the other ways in which the amphora transforms tap water.

No that thermal image shows evaporation, that is all, it's not removing impurities like our body. The cleanest water would be the water on the outside, what it's sweating.

I'be has my amphora a couple of weeks and I absolutely love it. The water taste so pure and refreshing. It's such a simply way to purify water with no chemicals. I am so grateful I found this video!!!! My question is how long can the water be stored in the amohora. Does it have to be completely filled each time? Once it's prepared, if you stop using it for a week, do have to repeat the initial process again. Thanks in advance for your help.

@NaturalSpaSupplies 6 жыл бұрын
I would suggest leaving the water in the amphora for no more than two days, but a lot of customers experiment with different durations from 8 hours upwards and judge it solely on the taste, aroma and mouth-feel of the water. It is best to completely fill the amphora, upto the base of the neck each time because it gives an 'egg-shaped' body of water, where the circulation will work really well. If you do stop using the pot, say you are going away, leave the pot empty with the lid ajar, so the inside of the pot can dry out. You will not need to recondition it before using it again.

Thanks so much for this information. I learned a lot! I’ve been searching for water solutions but this one really fits the bill! We need to get more people on board with us. Like I can’t find this in the US for example what can we do to make this more universal and affordable? I got my mom a house filter but the water still taste terrible. And there’s all this plastic and you have to change the filter all the time. I never know if I’m drinking good water or not it doesn’t feel it. I believe so many people are having a similar problem. The solution is so easily understood compared to other complex water solutions. How can we get this out more! I hate to say it but maybe this needs to be manufacture in Cambodia It would provide jobs to come Bodian’s and also lower the cost so that we can sell more of these around the world. Even in asia This solution would be so useful. It’s not just simply a water filter but it also circulates the water internally genius.

Do these jars contain iron? I recently learned that intermittent exposure of these jars to hot and cold temperatures will align the iron making helping creating a magnetic field within the jar. Apparently this magnetic property can be credited with helping preserve organic matter stored within such jars for long periods.
@NaturalSpaSupplies
@NaturalSpaSupplies 6 жыл бұрын
What a great question. Yes, there will be some iron in the clay as this is what gives the terracotta clay the red colour. I would assume that we are talking about iron oxide, and magnetite Fe3O4 I hadn't particularly thought about the action of the the iron in the clay, but it might help explain how, with the silicates it contains too, the amphora exhibits 'memory'. I have demonstrated the memory in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHjFmmaAgryUhZo where I have placed the amphora on earth energy points and I have shown how the energy has been embedded in the amphora with my dowsing rods. let me know what you think and whether this other video helps to answer you question!

An interesting thought. I guess these clay filters were really thin? I think the dynamics would be different between the thin filter and the thick walls of these clay amphora. Hi. I grew up in South America in farms and we used clay pots to purify the water. But I am baffled that you are saying we can’t drink the water that filters through the clay! That is exactly the water we drank. The pot was suspended on a wood structure over a glazed one (they did not touch) and the water we would drink was the one that dripped to the down i to the glazed one. They were washed inside and out. In this case… where is the water we can drink?
@christinemeldrum9698

I’ve had mine for a couple of days. I empty it and refill it about every 8 hours. How long does it take before it starts to purify? I test it with my water meter and get about 100 ppm when I first fill it and then 8 hours later, it’s at 95 or 96ppm. My Britta is around 56ppm. Do you think it’s the clay that my meter is reading? I may need to get some strips specific to different things like chlorine and calcium to see what’s really going on. I will say that the water in the bowl goes from about 100 to 400s so something is definitely seeping out.
@NaturalSpaSupplies

Actually normally the water which has been placed in the amphora increases overall in TDS! There will be more mineral oxides, as you say from the clay itself. There is also an increase in magnesium - which is great.

Everything you said about the amphora removing impurities, toxins etc is not substantiated. The water will cool due to evaporation - that's true. But what evaporates through the walls and looks like white powder on the outside is calcium and other minerals, not toxins. Fluoride cannot be removed using any gravity system, much less one without a filter candle. The type of chlorine that is added to water no longer evaporates, so terra cotta pots cannot remove chlorine without a charcoal filter candle. If you used the amphora itself to drip the water through, it could remove the "impurities" of sediment. I sell terra cotta water purifiers with a three-stage candle filter - micropore ceramic, colloidal silver and activated charcoal - and I use the water to make body care products. I test the water regularly. I love nature and natural products, but this type of malarky ends up turning people away from returning to healthier ways.

So, I'm baffled. Some say that the water contained WITHIN a clay pot gets purified and alkalynized, that the water that comes through to the outside of the pot is only good for watering plants, not humans, because it contains impurities. Meanwhile...Others extol the wonders of FILTERING water using a clay pot i.e. the water that seeps through the terra cotta pot to the--well, the outside of the vessel.... Since purity is not determined by the users intention but on physical processes, which assertion is correct? These two assertions are contradictory to one another!

Why does only the "bad" water seep thru and not all the water? I would think the water that has passed thru the pot would be clean?
@NaturalSpaSupplies
@NaturalSpaSupplies 6 жыл бұрын
You can get clay pots which allow the water to seep through which filter the tap water, but this pot is different becuase it circulates the water, energizes it and purifies it. The body of the clay vessel acts like skin - there is a gradient for all the parameters and the toxins follow the gradient to the outside of the wall / skin of the clay pot. You will find that the water in the bowl or saucer doesn't smell nice and looks dirty and the water from inside the pot is lovely, like from the ground. So it doesn't filter, but does lots of other things instead to turn tap water into great drinking water.

We do have our amphora tested to make sure that they don't leach undesirable metals such as lead or cadmium into the drinking water. So we are certain that our amphora are safe to keep the water in. But do be cautious with other types of clay. Some types of pottery clay even have fungicides added. So you need to choose a clay vessel which, like ours is made form pure terracotta and which has been thoroughly tested.

No it keeps on circulating, due to evaporation from the body of the amphora. While most customers leave the water in for about 8 hours, some prefer the taste if it is left in longer. My tests have shown that the water stays bacteria free. However, because the amphora is always evaporating and leaching water, if you left it in for a long time, eventually the amphora would be empty.

Can you use it with pond water and rain water?
@NaturalSpaSupplies
@NaturalSpaSupplies 2 жыл бұрын
I for sure wouldn't use it with pond water - it would take many processes to make it potable. Rain water - you would have to filter it first and clean it further as it is high in pollutants and acidic. It might be expensive to get clean sand, charcoal etc. I don't know the process, but actually it would be great to find the process. I was planning to test a dry empty, sealed amphora in some sea water, to so if it produces fresh water inside. I will certainly make a video about it, hopefully over the next few weeks, so I do hope your are subscribed. As I dowse, I have been finding out more about wells and boreholes, and that is the best way to go if you are not on mains water, or a local spring.

The clay taste will decline over the next weeks. But you can also leave the water in for less time and that will help for now.

No, the leaking is the process of purifying! The water leakage are all the filtered nitrates/ bacteria etc. Think of it like human skin!

@NaturalSpaSupplies

@@metalhead7752 We're using the amphora to purify and specifically remove chloride from the water to help the yeast. So we are using it at the earlier stage.

@@metalhead7752 Yes, am amphora like this would be too leaking to make or hold wine. Wine jars are waxed as soon as they come out of the kiln. It is the only way to acheive a proper job. These, then can be used to make wine.

That sounds like the exact opposite of truth. The water on the inside will have the flouride. So your saying the flouride comes through pours water cant. This is crazy. Critical thinking helps people.

I didn't mention fluoride at all in this video - I have been talking about chloride and nitrate reduction. I think you misheard? We should have done subtitles for this video as the sound quality was awful! Our later videos are much better! I should have included also in the video our test results, particularly the ten fold reduction in lead, mercury and arsenic.

I didn't talk about fluoride at all in this film. However on the tests we commissioned, the amphora does massively reduce chloride levels.

This video is dangerous if the person uses water from a river. River water is known to contain many parasites and diseases, and the water inside the amphora won't be clean of any of these.

The more you research filters the more you’ll find that with vastly different water sources across the globe, pH, toxins, microbial etc…no filter does everything. When you’re talking about microbes and the like, pond water etc. you may want to take things to a different level. I’ve been researching and just want my Phoenix, Arizona hard and crummy tasting water to taste better (and filter out the main violators). I’m planning to run a basic filter under the sink to pick up some of the main crud and use this to sort of “polish” it off. I also love the evaporative cooling, I prefer water just a little cooler than room temp. It’s dry desert here so it should do great on that front. And it’s nice looking, no ugly plastic or large chrome “R2-D2” sitting on the counter lol. With the dollar/pound change, it may never be more affordable for us in the US. Thanks for the great video.

Scientifically it is wrong to say the pure water smells fresh because pure water has no colour, taste, or smell. But this term is correct when the water is contaminated.
@NaturalSpaSupplies
@NaturalSpaSupplies Жыл бұрын
The water which comes out of our taps always has a strong aroma of chloride and I know from having examined the water analyses of our water board that the tap water does contain other contaminants. The water board only tests for those contaminants which they can remove, and not all contaminants have a taste or odour. So tap water isn't 100% pure at source.

How do I get rid of glaze in a clay jug 🤓
@NaturalSpaSupplies
@NaturalSpaSupplies 5 жыл бұрын
If you are describing the glaze that has been applied prior to firing, I think it will be nearly impossible to remove it. Even if you did manage, a glaze often contain metalic elements which could prevent the water being properly purified. You would need to buy a new unglazed jug, but make sure it has been roperly tested to be sure that the clay is suited to food and water contact. Some clays are mixed with fungicides and this would make them dangerous and other clays carry pollutants or can leach certain toxins into the water. That why we had our amphora tested to be sure they they add nothing harmful and do actually reduce toxins.
