Hi, i take it that you have to let the decal dry first as you have to print it on to the shiny side. My print out is quite wet. will this set?

Hi Catherine. Yes, you must let it dry completely. If it has any moisture in it, it may cause bubbles as the water turns to steam in the kiln and ruin the decal.

Hi Jeff, I have not been able to find a toner for my HP laser printer that can tell me if it is high in iron content. If the toner says it is used for check printing, it should have high iron content, correct? Any suggestions?

Hi Mark. You can't do these in colour. Because they work by oxidising iron in the toner it always has the sepia / rusty look. To do colour you'll need to have custom decals made. I know of no way top produce your own colour decals, unless you want to go to the expense of a decal printer. If you want to use the sepia decal paper have a look at the fired-on.com website. They have all the information about the decal paper and the printers required.

Is this just plain toner you are fusing?

Hello Jeff, I have been following you for many years, with great admiration. I would like to use decal paper, but I have seen in the instructions that the cartridge ink in laser printers must have iron oxide, and I have gone crazy looking for the information and I cannot find the data. I wanted to ask you, if when you have done your research, which printer to use, you have found a page that is clear about it. My printer is a HP Laser Pro MFP M148fdw . I will greatly appreciate any guidance you give me. Greetings from the Canary Islands.
