Are you aware that the whole shaft of the holder is Arca Swiss? Not just the bottom. So you can use the Arca Swiss clamp on the shaft also.

The drawback with this stand is the lips are too short to accomodate a tablet with a case. The back of the tablet may get scuffed as there is no silicon pad on the telescopic arm at the back. The silicon grips on top and bottom are inclined and not flat, so they don't grip well if the tablet has a Unicorn Beetle style case.
