Nice video, can you add a diffuser on the umbrella ?

There is a diffusion fabric for the 7' umbrellas but I would not recommend it for use with high output tungsten bulbs as used in this video. www.fjwestcott.com/white-diffusion-umbrella-front

I'd love more info on that particular blue spider light and that bulb.

+Heddrick The blue Spiderlite (TD5) has been replaced by the new Westcott Spiderlite TD6 www.fjwestcott.com/spiderlite-td6. The bulb is not a Westcott product. Using our tungsten version www.fjwestcott.com/150-watt-tungsten-halogen-lamps-6-pack would actually give you similar output and more control while remaining within the specifications listed for these Spiderlites.

He seems to be using just one bulb, would it take 6 bulbs to put out the same amount of light?

+Heddrick The Spiderlite TD6 is designed to allow up to 1200w of power. Total light output would be slightly more (using the 6) with the biggest advantage being your control of the output using three toggle switches ( 2 sockets each). Adjusting light output via this method will allow you to maintain a consistent white balance at 1/3, 2/3 or full power.
