How far can I find a broken wire. I suspect to have a broken wire approximately 200+ feet away and I don’t have a very weak signal

Thanks for the question WC! Yes, this device sends high voltage pulses of electricity down the field wire so you definitely want to disconnect it from the controller before connecting the transmitter. You should train your techs to shut off the receiver when moving it to avoid pegging the meter movement and causing damage.
