Using a self service car wash, the proper way!!!

I will show you how I safely clean my ceramic coated Kia stinger at a self service car wash for very cheap. The kick here is that you need to use your own supplies to get amazing results. You never know what car shampoo these self service car wash stations are using and PLEASE DON’T USE THE BRUSH. My Kia stinger is coated with one layer of Avalon king armor shield IX and Gyeon cancoat evo as a topper. Carpro reset is the best shampoo in my opinion for ceramic coated cars.

Glad to see you only use the spot free rinse water mode . That is what I will being doing on my newly ceramic coated car. waiting for all my ph neutral soap, wash mits and drying towels to arrive.

Awesome to hear! It’s going to be so easy to clean your car since it’s ceramic coated car. Ceramic coating is a must for me when I get a new car. I only wish that my car wash stations spot free rinse had a little more pressure to it.

I feel like as long as you’re not holding up the car wash bay, there shouldn’t be a issue in using buckets. You should see if there is another car wash by you that allows buckets 😎

Why you don’t use the regular pressure wash and soap? Does it scratch car if not using two buckets?

@Jojo the reason I don’t use the soap is since my car is ceramic coated, you should only be using pH neutral soap for maintenance washes. Most soaps at the car wash are either low or high on the pH scale. I would rather be safe then sorry. I wouldn’t want to degrade my ceramic coating. So, in my opinion I don’t believe it does if you’re not using 2 buckets. Recently I’ve been using a grit guard at the bottom of my one bucket to help capture the debris. If I wash my car at home I use 2 buckets.

I am planning to use exact way you doing. I see on your other video you use Ik foam pro. Do you use that all the time or just bucket? Also ik foam pro can take a lot of pumping for one car?

@Jojo I usually don’t use the IK foam sprayer for every wash. I bring this out for special occasions either for the wheels or if my car is really dirty. This will help release that stuck on dirt or grime off of your car before the contact wash. The one down side is it takes a lot of pumps to get around the whole car.

@JDH when I first started detailing I never used the 2 bucket method. I always cleaned off my wash mitt after every panel in my wash bucket. This was to try and keep the wash as cheap as possible. I did this process for almost a year and never noticed any new swirls or scratches. As I have a little more experience now, I use the 2 bucket method.
