In this video, I use a rented skid steer to extend my pond and create a land bridge to the pier. I also lay down a gravel path to the pier and grade some other areas of my land.

Looking good! I’m happy to see you letting your boy run some equipment, it’s a good teaching tool for a good work ethic which is slim these days with the younger generations.

I purchased a really nice compact tractor, with a loader, Bobcat CT-125, for $8000. It had 250 hours on it. I can do anything that you did with the skid loader. Somethings are a bit slower, but I can leave a furniture type finish in most any material. To top it off, the Bobcat tractor is a blast to run. I also have a Deere, an International, and an LS compact tractor, but the Bobcat is like riding a spirited horse. The compact tractors are extremely versatile and can do many jobs, with implements that are a fraction of the cost of skid loader attachments.

Excellent work! and nice grading job with the skid steer, i still vote for you getting a used excavator, so you could extend the pond even further, even if it will take some time.

Nice touch ! Do you live on the property ? I thought you did ! You staying healthy and your family also ? Up here it’s easy to avoid people in the winter but I think I’m addicted to shopping on line and having it delivered , man it’s so easy ! Lol. Your neighbors aren’t to close are they ? How was your holidays ? It’s back to work for you I see ! Lol

Thanks! I go back and forth from San Antonio to Charlotte. So I stay a few days a week at the land then go back. There is 250 acres behind me that's just hunting land, 60 acres or so to the side and then some 12 acre plots on the other sides. Nobody lives around me because there's no electricity access, that's the good thing about no electricity. Keeps the homes from being built. Holidays were good, mostly unseasonably warm here with a few night time freezes. Take care!

@@24acresofparadise Charlotte NC ? Long drive ! Lol. I’m assuming it Texas ! I worked out of Houston for 4 years with Halliburton driving up to the arctic circle and back to Houston 2x a month delivering explosives and equipment ! Isn’t Charolotte just south of SA off 35 ?

Yeah, it's the lesser known Charlotte here in Texas. You've had an interesting life if you've gone up to the Artic! Charlotte is a few miles from Pleasanton, TX about 30 minutes from I-37 that heads towards Corpus Christi.
